Spice village southend

Great service, had used it once before through Deliveroo, the Lamb Biryani, Chilli Chicken and creamiest and delicious Kheer ever.Saw an ad on Facebook for their affiliate branch, Spice Village Southall for their Nashta Box and I posted a comment without thinking much of it, “Please can you do this at your Southend branch too!” almost instantly a message came up that they did.Glad I came and got the Halwa Puri, was so delicious and the guy who served me was really friendly and polite whilst I waited for the puri’s to be freshly made and fried. Very homely feel. Can’t wait for them to open fully as a restaurant after lockdown rather than a take away at the moment. Parking was available right outside, free as it was Sunday (I believe).I can’t rate the Spice Village group high enough, only knew the brand as they catered for a wedding we attended at the Four Seasons London, just under two years ago. The food was of a really high standard and still is.It was one of the reasons we were curious to try them, as we were so surprised then had opened a Southend branch.Even the take away bag was really good quality.

Definitely not an eat in restaurant more of a cafe/ takeaway. The one waiter was very friendly and got things when we asked for them! (Glasses for our drinks for example) My dish was very nice but my fathers was bland he barely touched it. The chef did come and ask if all was ok and we told him the good and bad points but by then we'd had enough. Definitely did not live up to all the hype I was very dissapointed.

Food was excellent. Exactly my taste. Delivery was very fast and staff very friendly. Great serviss!!!

Fantastic food! And great customer service, very welcoming not from the area but would definitely recommend. We ordered Sheekh kebabs, samosa chaat, tarka dhaal and nan. Only managed to take photos of Sheekh kebabs, couldn’t resist the food and forgot to take photos of the rest. Everything tastes great and flavoursome! The kheer was so delicious and creamy! Would definitely come back here when visiting Southend on Sea. Cleanliness was on point too, waiter was constantly washing his hands and restaurant was very today, calm and relaxing. Definitely the best Pakistani food in Southend!

Didn’t eat in there booked a table. At spice village London road westcliff on sea. Went in there and the place was filthy. Needs decor repairing, it’s not a restaurant it looked like some seating to eat your takeout. No one was wearing masks. And a man was laying Napkins with a knife and fork on every table no distancing between the tables. The man that past us a menu he had no mask on he who looked like he had been rolling around on the floor. He had food stains all over his clothes. It hasn’t been cleaned in a long time you can tell by the thick grime on everything. Can’t see how it has a three star food Hygiene rating. (I looked it up ). My kids said they couldn’t eat in there as they didn’t feel safe and can we go I agreed and we left.

Impeccable Food and service once again! The food is delicious and packed pull of flavour. Staff are friendly. The food is value for money for the quality of food you receive... This is becoming our Family Favourite. Thank you Spice Village!

Just drove 1.5 hours with family to eat in this restaurant as this was the nearest Pakistani restaurant. We were really looking forward to our meal as we haven't been out to a restaurant since lock down.Can't stress enough how disappointed we were. We ordered chicken tikka which came half cooked so we had to return it, then our Chicken curry arrived and this had so much salt in it that it wasn't consumable. The lamb sheek kebab was tasteless and falling apart that we couldn't pick it up with our fork.I apologized to my children for ruining their evening as it was my suggestion to go there.I will NEVER visit this place again. unless it changed hands.

Had better food from a jar.. Paid genuine takeaway price for what tasted like it was one of them £10 meal deals from Asda.. Food was bland and small portioned.. will not use again that's for sure!

The BBQ is amazing!! And the kheer was very traditionally prepared, very creamy and delicious!
