Ferndale Garden Centre

This is one of my regular go to garden centers. Always a good healthy range of plants, that are obviously cared for. The cafe is reasonably priced, though at times can be understandably very busy, but you can pre book a table. Inside you will find a well stocked gift shop with a great selection of gifts, also cards and associated products. Tools and gardening related feeds etc are all available. The only reason I have deducted 1 star is the entrance is terrible you walk straight into the houseplant section which is cramped and with narrow aisles so if you stop to look at anything you are always having to move about to let others through.

We do go to Ferndale around every six weeks or so I guess usually to the coffe shop but do purchase from the garden centre itself, when we called at lunchtime today (5th December) it was extremely busy and had to join a long queue in order to get served , although it was verybusy I was pleasantly surprised as we didn't have to wait long at all , everything perfect and delivered by friendly and courteous staff , we also have a small dog who we take with us and it's always a pleasureable experience.

Nice place. Very busy at weekends in my experience. But it's a great place for plants, garden furniture, that unusual gift, great food, and much more.

Good size garden center has a good range of plants and accessories.Don't miss out seeing Christmas lights and decorations that are in stock now we'll worth a visit.Good coffee shop and selection of cakes and sandwiches and knowledgeable and lovely colleagues in all area's.Well worth a visit

The garden centre is one of the best in the area, coffee shop is very nice with good food. My boyfriend and I use to go there quite often to enjoy a nice coffee and do some work on our laptops. We normally consume at least 2 coffees and cakes. Today, after enjoying our breakfast, we stopped a little bit longer, probably a couple of hours, to finish some work. At that point we were kindly asked to leave as we were occupying a 4 seats table without consuming anything else. I would have totally understood, if the place would have been busy and running out of space. However, there were plenty of big tables free and nobody was struggling to find a seat.Seems like that loyal costumers are not worth here. Definitely not using the coffe shop again.

Took my mum for an afternoon tea. We prebooked so the table was already reserved and ready. The tea was lovely. Plenty to choose from. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We got a new GrillStream BBQ from Ferndale this weekend & it’s absolutely brilliant. Staff were so lovely and knowledgable and were able to help us find exactly what we were looking for. Last year we got our corner furniture set and hanging egg chair & they are still in perfect condition! Definitely worth spending the extra ££ to get the brilliant quality furniture which we know will last us years to come.Best garden centre in the area - would highly recommend.
