Art School Ilkley

Art class is my favourite part of the week. Brilliant teachers, great structure but plenty of creative freedom. Can’t rate them highly enough. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to reignite their creativity or expand their skill set.

In 1994, despite Art being my favourite subject, my teachers advised me that I would be better off with Business Studies and Geography, so I left Art behind. 25 years later I corrected that mistake by taking 'Exploring the Visual Arts' at Art School Ilkley. This is an enjoyable and varied course in a friendly and relaxed environment. It has inspired me to be much more creative away from the class as well. Thoroughly recommended.

Interesting and fun art classes in a welcoming and supportive environment. Sarah and John are great teachers who have introduced us to loads of new creative ideas and processes! Highly recommended!

Love this place! I've been to several classes, and I love the friendly atmosphere, John and Sarah's presence + guidance. The classes are very light-hearted, great for beginners and advanced artists alike, and I got to experience many new techniques. Looking forward to future events!

Sarah and John are the most wonderful teachers. Their kindness and support start from the moment you step into the space. I’ve been keen to do art classes for a long time and I’m so delighted to have such encouraging influences as I find my way with this new set of skills.
