Groomer was super friendly and kind to Millie. Millie doesn’t like being brushed and gets matted easily but she put me at ease and was gentle with her.

Very friendly staff who could not have taken better care of my dog. This was her first appointment, and she was nervous when first went in, but when I picked her up, she was back to being happy, and the cut was great. I highly recommend

Scrumpy was a very good boy today, very brave and had a full groom without problems. Holly and her assistant were very good and patient with him. Our only concern is that he seems irritated by his back paws and also we feel that the fluff under his tail, and around his delicate areas was cut a little too short for our liking. At least we know for next time. Not sure if a after spray to make him smell extra nice was used, perhaps refrain from that too. Overall we are very pleased with the service.

We took our show spaniel puppy to ‘About the dog’ in Henleaze for his first ever groom and they were amazing. The staff are all lovely and friendly and the groom itself was wonderful. I was quite anxious about having our boy groomed as I have seen some awful grooms on spaniels and read so many horror stories about groomers not doing what the owner had asked for. I really didn’t want him looking like a bald sheep.What we ended up with was exactly what we asked for and he looks so handsome (and smells delightful) we couldn’t be happier with his groom and he’s already booked in for his next one. Can’t recommend ‘About the dog’ more highly.
