I struggled to find a roofer interested in our job. By contrast Matt was very responsive and it was helpful to have drone images.Some delay in removing the scaffolding which was not directly James Bros fault and they ensured this was eventually done.

Great job on re-roofing our '30s roof. Started exactly when booked in and completed on time. Good advice on choice of tiles and approach to guttering, fascia and soffits. Excellent quality and standard of work. Good team taking pride in their work.

I had my roof installed in 2021, the lads were very professional and I was quite happy with the work done. But few months ago we noticed that we had some pigeons in our roof space. After the pest controller inspected the roof and found a big hole left under the fascia the cause of the problem. I contacted Matt who did come to have a look. He refused to go up the roof to inspect the hole and instead said the pigeons most probably created the hole for them to access the roof space. He was very rude and condescending. He also said he would need scaffolding to inspect the roof! I had to contact another roofer who was fantastic went up the roof on the same day found a large hole and repaired the roof - no scaffolding needed.Very poor aftercare from James Bros

Great experience from start to finish with James Bros when they replaced some velux windows for us. Matt and his team did a great job of replacing a felt roof over a bay window with a high quality lead roof. It was a period property in a conservation area and now looks the part. The work was done quickly, cleanly and professionally. Communication with Matt was great and his team were helpful and polite. Matt even came back to check the work once it had been completed and fixed a broken gutter on another section of roof without an extra charge! Matt and his team have now undertaken roof replacement projects on two occasions for my family in recent years. Both projects have run extremely smoothly, and the work was completed both times to a very high standard. We had a whole re-roof, chimneys removed, and roof insulated. Although the price was more than other quotes, I felt James Bros was the most professional, and am really pleased with the results. The whole process from estimate to completion was excellent. Communication from Matt was outstanding - always quick to get back to answer queries, or let me know what was happening, and when. They did some additional work when problems were found, tidied up at the end of the job, and were flexible about leaving the scaffolding up afterwards for other building work.Leaks that were supposedly fixed by another contractor the previous year are now sorted.Thoroughly recommend Matt and his team.

James Bros re-roofed our house during some difficult weather conditions in Feb/March 2023. Matt visited the property prior to work starting & communicated well with us throughout the project. The whole operation went very smoothly. The scaffolding was erected very efficiently in little over a day and the roofers started work as soon as it was done. The roofing team (5-6 guys) came early every weekday and worked steadily until the job was completed. The work finished on time, after about 6 weeks. Some work was even done at the weekend too. The guys were all friendly and approachable and patiently answered any queries we had. The scaffolding was removed as soon as the work was completed & the roofers tidied up well. We are very pleased with the end product and would thoroughly recommend James Bros.
