Just spent a two night stay in this little gem.We stayed in the double room it was very comfortable and was well equipped.The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, great atmosphere in the bar which is dog friendly, looking forward to our next trip.Gordon and Angela Mclean.With Poppy the collie.

Stayed three years ago and wanted to return. New owners now and is much improved. Very busy for Sunday lunch. The hosts are very welcoming. Room was comfy and clean. Had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Will return some day. Thanks to Andy and Debbie

We arrived on Sunday and were warmly welcomed. Even though it was busy in both the bar area and in the dining room, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, I opted for the roast lamb dinner and my partner went for the roast beef. They were served promptly and very hot. The room was an average size and the bed was really comfortable and clean. The bathroom was showing signs of age but was clean and adequate. On the Monday night I ordered the steak and ale pie with side of vegetables and I couldn't finish it even though it was delicious. My partner selected the welly" burger and it was cooked perfectly and was thoroughly enjoyable. The ales were well kept and reasonably priced

Very nice pub. The Black sheep pale and the Guinness were in exellent condition (I brew my own all grain beers, so I know a good one). The couple running the place were great, and the food exellent. Will be back when in area.

Stopped for a Saturday night, made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are good clean and comfy, good pub food, breakfast spot on and a great pint of Black Sheep. Definitely stay again.

A nice place to stay and eat. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating, and we were really impressed with the food we had the evening we arrived (my son said he had the best burger he’s ever had, and my steak was cooked perfectly). The room was clean and comfortable, and the shower was nice and hot. The only things missing were bath towels (we only had hand towels), Wi-Fi in the room (we could only get it in the pub) and some milk to go with the teabags.
