Jessops

Staff are friendly but completely useless. I have visited this store on three occasions. The first two times I was offered help, which is great. However, the staff have been unable to answer even the most basic questions... This third visit has really let me down and wasted my time.Regardless of the service, I decided to order an adapter from Jessops as they offered next day pick up. I received a phone call, text, and email to tell me my item was awaiting pickup - great. I travelled an hour to the store where it took not one but two shop assistants 20 minutes to find my order, slow but fine.Luckily, I checked the product as soon as I stepped out of the store because they had given me the wrong adapter. Upon notifying them of this, I was told that it was the correct one. After convincing them it wasn't what I had ordered they told me it was all they had and that their online delivery system is automated so there was nothing they could do. They didn't offer any assistance nor make any attempt at correcting the mistake.Thank you for wasting two hours of my time and for not even attempting to correct YOUR mistake. Furthermore, consider ensuring your staff know something about camera equipment before they start arguing with customers. Will not be ordering through Jessops again.

Just been to this superb shop. Got tremendous service from Rhona in downloading and printing photos. Very patient with an elderly gent, i.e. myself. James helped my wife and me choose a camera, taking no end of trouble in advising us to find the one best for our needs and capabilities. A first rate shop with fantastic staff.

The level of service in this store is impeccable. Went in yesterday to discuss upgrading my Nikon d60 and got the perfect advice, in depth knowledge on the camera and photography in general as well as the market and what to expect from future technologies - and how that would relate to what I buy now. I left feeling that I was making the right choice and at no point did I experience any sales pitch. A day later I also went in with my damaged sigma lens and received amazing advice that really made my day. Can't wait to have another spending spree at this place. It is so good to have this store on the high street.

Best photo prints in town. Very helpful staff every time I've visited, first visit and speaking to well trained staff lead me to my second visit to spend money. I got my wedding photos professional printed for our photo album. With every size and finish you could think of available. Great and easy to use software and a relaxing environment to pick your prints. They offer a rush service but if you pop back the next day the price is cut in half.

Giulia was probably one of the best customer service staff I've encountered. As someone starting out into a manual camera, she offered unbiased advice and kept it as close as possible to our budget. Informed, friendly and professional. Yes you can pay less online, but this trip was worth the extra expense!

Big selection of Cameras and Lens , Shop assistants are very attentive, My personal experience is this, I went there and made an inquiry about a new lens which was not available at the time of my inquiry, but a very pleasant Person Joanna Stokes, told me that as soon as the lens available she would let me know, and ,she took my phone number and details, and the lens has arrived one afternoon soon after arrival of lens she phoned me , I got my lens , I was surprised that the way she followed up the customers inquiry. Some of the staff seemed very uninterested when I said I would like help buying a camera. One of them also told me that they didn't do refunds, (for something which I had also bought there), which the London HQ confirmed was not the case. When I commented on both of these issues to the manger, instead of apologising, she seemed to only be interested in defending her staff and gave me pretty short sharp shrift.Not a shop I would recommend.

Disappointed. I went to find out whether I could change the camera and buy a better one and I said I would be back as i had a few appointments this morning. The phone message was made to my home phone about two minutes after I left the shop to tell me that they had posted out the camera to my home, but our post arrives late afternoon most days, so sadly I won't have a camera for my holidays unless I go and buy another one, and probably secon-hand at that since I am not able to fund another brand new one.

The store was a bit smaller than expected however the assistant was very helpful and so friendly, I was allowed to get a feel for some cameras and was even given a shot of a Canon 5D! The shop assistants were very Informative and able to give me most of the info I needed, I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone.

Jessops is very pricey. You can almost always get better price online. The only thing that is great about this shop is that you can actually see for yourself what your camera and gear will look like. They do have nice insurance options and they do fix and have some training available. I bought my camera there and I do not regret it, but the main reason I bought it there was because I was in a hurry. For gear, it is always nice to see how your camera will fit in bags and try some accessories in the store. But if you do decide to purchase the items from them, you might be in for a surprise as their prices can be up to two times higher than on Amazon.
