Portway Inn

We were only booked to stay for just the one night during a weekend away but what a large little-gem" we felt we’d found. Room and bed were very comfortable and the food was amazing. We also had the opportunity to try one of the delightfully pleasant ales brewed by the Ludlow Brewing Company which brilliantly complimented the locally sourced food. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble to underpin their hospitality. When next in the area

We had the twin room which was clean.Found the shower not so good if not careful you either got a blast of very hot water or freezing whilst having a shower.On the plus side food was excellent and staff were very friendly

Great service, nice and very clean rooms. Great restaurant. Its got its own great story and mistery. I'm glad we have stayed there.

Typical drinkers pub. Front of house staff were friendly but the dining room has seen better days, several holes in the ceiling where lights were missing. The food was okay-ish not complaint worthy, it was hot and plentiful but I wouldn't eat there again (I can cook much better at home). Overall rather disappointing.

We were passing through on our motorbikes and needed some lunch. A great find. Both of us had a pint of well kept ale and the best ham egg and chips we had in a long time. The ham especially was obviously really good quality, the chips were excellent and a lovely salad on the side with 2 eggs. Simple food but really well done. Really friendly service too. Thanks to the girl behind the bar who looked after us.

Booked an overnight stay for the 30th April confirmed booking on the 23rd April arrived at designated time 4pm lights on but locked up, rang twice went to answer phone, left messages they rang back at 6.30 to tell me something went wrong yet 2 persons turned up while we were there and went in and saw me outside. Had to find somewhere last minute which was a nightmare, sorry but I won't be darkening your doorstep ever.

I cannot fault this pub. The staff are very friendly and the pub is very clean. The toilets are clean the bar is never cluttered and everything is in order.Always quick efficient service.The food is lovely minimal menu for exquisite meals.The rooms are very looked after always clean and tidy. Love the cookies that comes with tea and coffee.So i work really early and would miss breakfast so instead they make me a packed lunch with sandwich crisps yogurt fruit and a juice box. This is a very personal touch as they ask what I would like. They dont have to do this its just a really good example of going the extra mile for guest's.I couldn't recommend this lovely country pub any more.

Food really good, and came hot, with good portions. Room clean though shower room had a musty smell, even though it was very clean. Bed very comfortable though base needs changing, as every time you moved it squeaked. floor squeaked in places, as it's an old building. Staff friendly and helpful, would return if in the area if only for the fantastic food.
