Lakes Campervans

Hired the Caddy camper van to tour round the Devon and Cornwall coast, was a little worried it wouldn't be big enough after having a bigger 4 berth camper to do the NC500, really shouldn't have worried as it was more than big enough for the two of us! The van is designed so well that it didn't feel much smaller than a regular 4 berth camper, giving you maximum space but in a smaller model. This model also seemed to be very economic on diesel which was a bonus! The size of this camper was also brilliant for parking up in more remote or smaller parking areas, and better for the days we were wild camping.The team at lakes campervans were so friendly and really helpful, nothing was too much bother for them. Would highly recommend booking with these guys, made planning our trip so much easier. Location for pick up is fantastic for wherever you are going in the UK.

First time hirer, very impressed with the vans, almost brand new, great spec with some great features. Lovely camper to drive, really easy so ideal if going as a first time. The team at the garage were really friendly and I was given a through show through of all the features. Would highly recommend.

The team at lakes campervans were helpful in getting us set up over the phone- but I wasn't prepared for such a brilliant level of service when I got there. We were given a fantastic campervan, and all of the support that we needed to get it up and running. Recently spent a week away in one of the VW Californias, it’s been one of the best holidays we’ve had. The campervan was spotless and well equipped, a doddle to drive, park, and live in. Just fab. Company friendly and efficient to deal with, a comprehensive introduction to how everything works, and great advice when we made a rookie error. We will be back as soon as we can - can’t wait to do it all over again.

Would Definitely recommend Lakes Camper vans. The California Vans are immaculate, the communications from booking to arrival for pickup were excellent. All instructions were given before we drove off. We hired the Van for a weekend over in the north east coast, just brilliant service. We’re planning our next trip already!

The service we received from this fabulous family run company was exceptional. From initial enquiries, to picking the van up on the day of hire, through to return of deposit, it was great. Sally and Nigel showed us how everything worked in the almost brand new van.The van was a VW Californian and was a pleasure to drive.
