Barchester - Mount Tryon Care Home

A big thank you to Mount Tryon for hosting my daughters 2nd wedding so that my mum could witness it! We can’t thank all the staff enough for organising the day, making sure my mum looked amazing and to the Chef for preparing a beautiful buffet lunch and baking mums favourite cake! Thank you for caring for my mum over the past year, it’s very reassuring knowing that she is with a companionate team who I know make the time to make sure she feels cared for every day!

What a wonderful home! My grandmother is so happy here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Forever home for their loved ones. Lovely staff, amazing facilities and management. Thank you!

This home smells of urine. Coffee room had cups piled high, toppling over. Breakfast items still on residents bed tray at lunch time! Food can be a little hit and miss. Very noisy at night and bells take a long time to be answered. This home is rated Requires Improvement" under the CQC. Do not be led into a false opinion because of the hotel and chandelier appearance!"

I have been doing hair and beauty services in mount Tryon since 2009 . I think the building is perfect for a nursing home, a beautiful restaurant with great food, wide corridors ,plenty of parking for visitors, a very big salon, lounge is nicely decorated and opens up to a well kept garden, hot drinks and cake available . Some bedrooms have access to the garden . We have had many BBQs, games etc in the garden over the years .The staff are all hardworking and yes, we have ups and downs with staffing but that’s normal in the care/nursing industry. The staff are friendly and always helpful. The place is always kept clean. Of course they have a great hairdresser but I would say that - hah .Do not take my word for it , come and view . Easy to find .

I think there were dark days, but the clouds have passed and there is now a warm and caring atmosphere at Mount Tryon. Smiling faces all around. Residents all appear comfortable and settled.

Mount Tryon is a wonderful place. My father lived there from July 2021 until he sadly passed away in March 2023. He was well looked after and loved living there. The staff are truly wonderful and caring. I never had any concerns knowing that he was safe and very, very happy. I would recommend Mount Tryon as the quality of care is fantastic. A big thank you to Ria and all of the staff working there.

Lovely staff and a great home. Despite our meeting being under the most saddest of situations the staff did everything in their power to make it better. the home is very comfortable and the staff very accomodating.

barchester - mount tryon is beautiful and clean residential home the staff are very friendly and helpful always their ready to help . they have lots of activities in the home were the staff and residents and families get involved absolutely beautiful how caring all the staff are towards the residents. and the homes manager is lovely always on hand to help .
