Came here last year for roast and it was faultless however since the change it seems to have gone downhill a touch. Beef was raw and some of our potatoes tasted as they had been in the microwave. Unfortunately won’t be coming again for roast. Good service. Pricey for what it is.

Very nice restaurant with tasty food and drinks and friendly staff. The higher prices are fit the ambience and quality.

An impromptu visit in fine weather for a pizza and pint! It’s a lovely setting, smartly designed with great service.I sat outside with a good beer and fresh pizza on my own (waiting for son at nearby sea scout lake). It was heartening to see this busy country pub bristling with chat and laughter.

My husband and I had a lovely meal yesterday. Booking was easy via the online website and we received a call back to confirm. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and had great service throughout. We were early so sat outside with a drink but were quickly shown to our table. We both had the ultimate Sunday lunch, I have to say it was very well cooked and delicious. We sat outside to finish our drinks afterwards, it was a lovely afternoon. Many thanks we will definitely be coming back

Over priced food, atmosphere was good, service charge added felt like it was compulsory opposed to a gesture. We was a table of 2, service charges should be for tables of more than 6/10. Imagine 10% charge on everyones bill by the end of a shift, they must tap in about £250 if not more. Wont return simply because of being made to feel as though we were not wanted after offering to pay a £3 tip instead or a compulsory £6. Its not the money its the ethos behind it…

Interesting. About 50 mins wait for food. Mains very nice. Dessert very larg piece of cake with insufficient sauce and ice cream. Should halve the cake or double the sauce and ice cream. Supervisor unhappy that we wanted to keep a copy of the menu at the table. Felt oppressive. Sad because super outlook.

We booked Sunday lunch for a friends birthday and the entire event was excellent. The food was exceptional. The service so attentive. And they brought a sparkler out on a board at the end for the birthday girl without any prompts. Absolutely fantastic!

Great little pub, lovely atmosphere and decor, attentive staff. I was really looking forward to trying it after my friend recommended it to me a week or so ago. The food was nice but far too salty for my liking. What is it with all Michelin star chefs and the amount of salt they use…Portions are quite generous so I was pretty full after my starter which was a delicious French onion soup. When I asked for something (a tube or something) to take away my barely touched main course, the only thing the place could offer was a tinned foil which wasn’t ideal. Surely, places should be happy when food doesn’t go to waste…
