This place is so lovely! Great atmosphere, lovely old building and lovely decoration. Food selection is great. We had several tapas style dishes and all were great. Staff were superb! Definitely give this a go. I love it!

Came here having read the reviews. The door was open so it was cold. Felt rushed because we were not allowed to order starters then main this meant the food got cold quick. The naan was served hard and burnt. ( so they didn't charge us for one of them- however would never have been expected to be served burnt naan). Got the bill without asking if we wanted anything else!Not the worst but not thef best. Very small inside so probably not for big groups.Also the stairs are very steep so not ideal for anyone with walking difficulties. This should be mentioned as my mum struggled and we had to walk into a very busy bar nearby!

As we entred the restaurant we were blown away with the warm and welcoming atmosphere shown by all the staff. It is hard to find somewhere so authentic. not to mention the food (100/10) Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Excellent value for money.

Came here a few months ago and still recommending it to people now! Lovely range of dishes and starters, and I love the Indian tapas idea - a great way to try different types of authentic Indian food in Nottingham! It’s a quaint little establishment with a homely rustic feel, I feel the reviews below are unfair when they talk about the restaurant itself - it’s clear from the outside that you aren’t going into a large fine dining restaurant but something a little more unique which I personally think is refreshing. Food itself was lovely tasting and the service was impeccable, definitely returning!

Vi-Va Indian Tapas
Food was great. It was full of spices and flavour. The restaurant was cosy and sweet. The only problem we had was how rude the waitress was despite our kindness and respectful demeanour towards how she was shooing us out picking up every dish without asking if it was finished, not letting us pay separately etc. The food arrives a bit late too but I believe that is due to understaffing and how small the kitchen was.
