Monday evenings are 'Quizzy Monday' on television and a glass of wine helps the process. What goes down really well is my favourite Picpoul de Pinet from Cellar Door Wines, especially as they provide a friendly, reliable delivery service. Its always great to see the little red van and smiling driver, so thank you Cellar Door for boosting my enjoyment of 'Quizzy Monday'!

Excellent place to go to buy a good bottle, or 2, of wine and we have also gone to many wine tasting events there, that are fantastic! Service is excellent and their knowledge of their products is helpful when you need a bit of advice.

Am a customer of the fabulous selection of wines and have taken part in a few wine tastings too. It’s always more than a pleasure dealing with Penny and her team no matter what the reason! We enjoy wine but by no means experts - we just know what we like and there’s always a very friendly face to offer advice and ideas for new things to try. Most of all, we will never ever forget Penny’s kindness when my father in law paassed away suddenly in Scotland in 2020. We were supposed to be at a zoom wine tasting and had to go rushing up and were there for some time sorting everything. Instead of cancelling, Penny arranged to have the wine tasting package couriered up to us so we could join in and distract ourselves for a while! So kind!!! It as a welcome distraction for sure and just a great example of how Penny and her team go out of their way to support their customers. Thank you Penny!Highly highly recommended!

The ONLY place to buy wine in St Albans. I’ve been visiting for nearly 5 years. A wonderful place, full of great wine, lovely, friendly and helpful staff and a brilliant range. You can pick up a cheap bottle, or spend more if you fancy. Lovely tasting options as well. Everything is so well thought through. We now have a wine club subscription after visiting one of their events at Hatfield House. I recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you Penny, Geraldine and team.

Cellar Door is consistently brilliant. They are friendly, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and always more than happy to help and advise based on my preferred taste profiles. I have discovered (now favourite) wines I didn't even know were grape types from this! They deliver which is brilliant and go out of their way to offer an amazing experience every time! Whole heatedly recommend.

Penny and the team are incredibly knowledgeable about wine, and are always incredibly helpful making suggestions for all budgets. I have attended a number of their evening tasting events, which are very accessible and not at all stuffy. I won't go anywhere else to buy wine!

This is the most amazing local business. Fast and reliable service. Penny and the team have an encyclopaedic knowledge of wines and can make perfect recommendations to suit all budgets and tastes. They deliver too! We’ve been customers for years and cannot fault it. They also lay on expert wine tastings which are great fun and educational. They are also all top people - friendly and fun. Cannot recommend highly enough.
