What a fabulous company. Top quality goods, beautifully crafted, and their customer service is second to none. When I reported a missing parcel, they went out of their way to find out what had happened to it. Turns out it had been delivered, but intercepted by my busy husband - I managed to find it because they gave me the time and date that it had been delivered - I could then follow his tracks for that day - it was in the polytunnel (of course!) Thanks folks!!

For years I have bought leather elbow patches to use on knitwear, but they were often heavy and better suited to jackets.. My Barefoot Leather ones are beautiful, light-weight leather and I am thrilled with them and the help and advice Ray Hatley gave me.

I have just purchased a terrier collar and matching lead and it is beautiful lovely leather lovely brass smells gorgeous and looks like it will last korkys lifetime superb. And made a little longer for him and all sent very quickly good old fashioned top service no photos as it’s for Xmas for him

Barefoot leather made beautiful, personalised collars for my two rescue lurchers. We're so happy with them, they look fantastic! Ray's customer service was also brilliant. If you are looking for a collar for your sighthound, I can't recommend these highly enough. Great price too!

I think this is the first time I’ve written a Google review, but I would struggle to find anyone more deserving than Ray!I stumbled upon Barefoot Leather by accident, and am so glad I did!My first purchase was a broad guitar strap, since I mostly play bass, and don’t like the instrument shifting. I got it in a pale leather to come close to the colour of my guitar, and for vanity’s sake, I had my name added. I was so delighted with it that I almost instantly ordered a second strap!Ray is a wonderful fella; great to deal with, and an amazing attitude to life.You won’t regret dealing with him!!

Bought a few items I'm really pleased with, they are to a very high standard. Asked for custom leather & hardware for a knife pouch and the result is superb, really fast turnaround for a bespoke order too. Cannot recommend highly enough. Will be thinking of other leather items now to get made.

My wife and I had a superb day with Ray in his workshop earlier this week. A desire to try leather working had been on both our ‘to do’ lists for some time and we were glad to find Ray’s one day introductory course via a web search. Ray covered a diverse range of topics on the day including sources and type of leather, tanning, tools (their use and sharpening) and basic skills such as strap cutting, hole punching, riveting, stamping and dying. We applied the techniques to making two dog collars, and two holders for narrowboat windlasses and even altered a belt that had become too big for me. We learnt so much in one day and have truly been bitten by the bug to do more leather working, collect together our own tools, extend our skills to saddle-stitch sewing and tackle more projects. Ray is obviously a skilled and experienced craftsman and is able to adapt his teaching approach to match the pupil. As an engineer I appreciated his descriptions in my terms, whereas my wife with a background with sewing, curtain making and embroidery appreciated other terminology. Ray is a wonderful guy and we wholeheartedly recommend him for face to face training.

Purchased a leather guitar strap for a heavy mahogany guitar; quality is superior to brand name straps at a lower price; highly recommended.
