Stroud Brewery & Taproom
Great taproom, as I'd expect from this brewery. A nice 40-minute walk along the canal from Stroud, or there are buses. The garden right on the canal was understandably popular on the sunny day I visited, with most tables booked in advance. The beers were great of course, and the food looked good too. It's also clearly a hub for the community, with many events taking place there. Hope to visit again soon.

Definitely worth a visit. An excellent craft beer brewery serving up tasty, casual food in a relaxed environment. Friendly and helpful staff rounded out my brilliant experience.

Lucky enough to live within walking distance. Great place for beer of course and coffee. The pop up food events are great most Tuesdays and the occasional gigs are usually excellent. There's so much more that goes on here and they are always looking to do more. Staff are friendly and mostly very committed to making the place as vibrant as possible. Absolute gem.

Quirky, different, but an excellent venue.Great range of their own beers, and although a limited lunchtime menu, the food was very good (just a shame the pizzas aren't available until later in the day). Dogs are welcome and whilst there quite an assortment of breeds made an appearance. You can finish with a brisk walk down the canal towpath at the rear of the brewery. All in all, a grand day out!

Went for the Christmas Fayre and light lunch. Had a great time with the kids. Mushroom soup, baba ganoushe, fries and cheesy fries were delicious. Kid's fish goujon burger was just the fish in a brioche bun - no butter on the bun and tartare sauce wasn't available so we settled on ketchup - unfortunately the side slaw was just red onion in dressing, couldn't see any cabbage so this was inedible by my child and even me. Overall food was great, as was the atmosphere, we had a great time and so will be back.

Excellent wood fired pizza delivered to your table with a smile. The burgers here are also good, I haven't tried anything else as I struggle to get past the pizza page and when I do, I choose a burger.Great range of drinks and plenty of space inside and out to eat, drink and relax.

This is one of my favourite breweries. I loved popping into the previous site, which was just on the exit road. The latest site is superb and always hosts monthly events to attract a mix of people. Tom Long is highly recommended, and 3.5% makes an excellent choice for any designated DRIVER!

We had booked this a few weeks before arriving as we were concerned that there wasn’t much else in the area and there was a live music event for free. It’s situated along the canalside and easy to access during the day as well. In the evening, thankfully they kept our seats for us despite being slightly late. They seem to have lots of well thought out themed events based here. We “for our sins”, arrived on the country western night. The only thing chapped about me is my lips.We got the olives to start, they were juicy and oily and we appreciated how they were pitted. We only looked at the pizza menu as we were not interested in burgers. Burgers are boring !Good pizzas overall with the margherita being the best of the two we had (another was a pesto fiorentina). The salad was an absolute con, you might as well have left it in the tesco bag. Garlic bread was a little dry and could have come earlier on as a starter. We had to spice it up with the left-over olive brine. My girlfriend loved her beer and saw in my eyes that she had picked the best one (a Stroud Brewery organic lager). We’d recommend people to come here on a night with music as the vibes were lively and people had obviously come for a good social.

Lunch on 27.7.23. Food was great. I had a Mushroom, Tarragon and Soy bap. It was really tasty but quite salty. My husband had a Pork and Leek Sausage bap and said was great. The meal came with salad and we had a portion of fries as well. Service was OK and there was plenty of room to choose a table. The setting was great. It is right on the disused canal so lovely for a walk.

Fantastic food, drink and atmosphere! Very dog friendly, they were given water bowls when we arrived. As we were only visiting, we didn’t take advantage of all the fantastic community opportunities going on at the taproom. This feels like a proper little community hub, lovely.
