Very popular with dog walkers. Woodpeckers plus various birds of prey can be spotted, as well as deer which can be found in all the Chorley woodlands. The woods can get quite muddy after rain, so pack boots or wellies if that's when you're visiting.

No complaints, not a massive walk, a few paths to choose from with a couple of long, frustrating dead ends depending on which side of the river you are on.If you stick to the main path you can't really go wrong, takes about an hour to get from one end to the other.Lovely place to go for a walk on a hot day as it's largely shaded, lots of dogs seem to enjoy jumping in the water too. As well as family's with children it seemed.Parking - We parked in one of the few bays on the way into the Golf Course, not many so suggest going early, lots of parking outside nearby houses if you don't manage to nab one where we parked however.

Gorgeous wooded area that covers and protects a section of the River Yarrow. There are a number of walks to follow with a few hidden historic gems to be found.Full of amazing wildlife - Kingfishers, Dippers, Grey Wagtails, Dragonflies, fish, etc.Very small, but free carpark, no toilets. Be careful when driving to the carpark, the road is like a singular lane. Very narrow.

Fantastic place for walking dogs, open woodland paths following the River Yarrow, need waterproof boots in wet weather, and maybe bug repellent for those who get mithered by bugs.

Lovely peaceful woodland walks that is great for dogs to be let off the lead to run roundStreams running through make it even better and never had any concerns from other walkers.Golf course is just next door aswell.Waste bins are only in the car park area which is free so make sure to take your rubbish out with you.

A beautiful place for a walk. River running they the woods. Plenty of places for dogs, and humans, to get in the water to paddle. Nice and clean too.

A great place for a walk, on your own ,with company or with your dog. The main path follows the course of the Yarrow, but if you end up crossing the river twice, you've missed the path that takes you downstream to the bearly-conjoined Yarrow Valley Park at Birkacre.
