Ocean Runner Charters

Spent the weekend of 30th September and 1st October on Ocean Runner with skipper Ryan. Great weekend, very, very knowledgeable skipper, very experienced in what to catch and how. Always walking round the boat making sure we are all ok, and jumping in the help land and unhook catches. Boat was great, very comfortable. Would highly recommend. Well Done Ryan.

Fantastic day fishing! Ryan (skipper) was very professional and took us to many top spots where we caught an abundance of different species. The boat is very spacious, stable and fast. I would highly recommend Ocean Runner charters to any angler from novice to experienced.

We are a family of 4 (with twins who are 7 years old). We booked with Ryan for a 5 hour trip and wished it was longer. We had an amazing day creating lots of wonderful memories for our family. Ryan was very helpful for booking, payment, directions and of course assisting fishing on the day. A selection of fish were caught and we all (kids more so) can’t wait to book again. Ryan ensured we were all COVID safe for the journey with smaller numbers on the boat and being 2 metres away from each other whilst fishing. Highly recommended for families wanting an amazing day out!

A group of us (all chefs) went down for a team building day, some of us have never fished before but Ryan the skipper helped show us the ropes. He knew the right spots to go to and we ended up catching all sorts of fish. Good value and great services. 100 % recommended!!

Bass and bream fishing on 04.06.23.The weather was perfect.There was a fair swell on some of our drifts so I was very glad I took sea sickness tabletsRyan really knows his stuff and made every effort to help all the novices on board catch something.If you book and Ryan cancels due to weather it's because he is the maritime expert. Please bear in mind that it's not because he's a crook/ lazy/ can't be bothered.Special mention to Shaun/ Sean the deckhand who was also very attentative and knowledgeable. I went for a trip on Ocean Runner with my 13 yr old son for a day of fishing on Tuesday July 13th after a long 20year plus boat fishing gap. We didn’t have tackle or rods but Ryan sorted us out with great equipment.The Ocean Runner is a lovely clean purpose built fishing boat with all the modern comforts . We had tea and coffee kindly provided by Ryan and were very well looked after on board.Ryan is a real fishing enthusiast and a kind and patient teacher who spent time with us to get us up to speed , and didn’t make us feel like stupid beginners despite not being good at baiting hooks and disgorgement of fish.As in many sports enthusiasm is infectious and we were soon as keen as the other more experienced anglers on board. Once we followed Ryan’s advice the fish kept coming!My son caught his first ever fish which was a magnificent Sea Bass. We both learned a lot, plus caught some great fish. This trip has really inspired my son and was an experience we will never forget. We dined rather well on our sea bass this evening too!I cannot recommend Ryan and Ocean Runner enough!

Just moved to Bournemouth and this is by far the best boat I've been for the past 10 years. Friendly knowledgeable skipper, bunch of fish, decent Rays, conger eels and tope sharks on top of the normal mackerel and breams. Highly recommend!

The service Ryan offers is fantastic. Never too much trouble to find fish. We have been on many charters but now the last 4 times with Ryan we wouldnt go anywhere else. He is very passionate about catching fish and looking after his customers. Highly recommended.

Went for a full day turbot fishing last Sunday and have to say Ryan truly knows his craft but also works hard to get the best angling for everyone on board even a newbie like meDon't normally leave reviews but the turbot tasted greatThanks again Ryan will be back on my next trip
