5th visit to the beautiful spa. Can't beat a glass of fizz overlooking the Yorkshire dales in the infinity pool. Rooms are always clean, staff always friendly, only thing that Continues to let them down, is the breakfast. Only french press coffee, real bean coffee would have been nice. No real bread, no meats or cheese(even though continental is advertised) tinned fruit, frozen fruit, the English breakfast was much better today than in July. We will always continue to come here for the views, the amazing spa and the staff. Highly recommend

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I found the room to be very clean and comfortable. The meal I had was delicious, as was my breakfast. Most importantly the staff were all very friendly, warm and helpful. I thought that the breakfast room with the huge windows and views was absolutely lovely. I didn't get to enjoy the spa sadly, but I've heard great things. I wouldn't hesitate in returning to this lovely hotel.

We've just had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at the Coniston Hotel. The venue is stunning, and all of the staff worked so hard to make sure we had a lovely day. It was perfect from start to finish, and the lake provided a beautiful backdrop for our photos. After the wedding, we stayed a couple of extra days to wind down and thoroughly enjoyed using the spa and restaurant.

Would happily stay here again and I've already posted to socials that others should too. The views are amazing! The fresh food on site without a doubt is amazing, I'm from down South in Surrey we had been traveling all over and I couldn't get a Yorkshire pudding anywhere, the restaurant was more than happy to deliver even tho it was not on the menu. The spa was a must and amazing although on that note when I booked there was no mention of me having to pay extra for the spa I assumed it was included in price. I got an email two days before to state otherwise, so slight surprise there. But after a good hike I was lapping up the Spa facilities. Very helpful staff.

We spent a weekend at the Coniston to attend a wedding on a Saturday. As a wedding venue, it was an amazing experience. The room for ceremony, the orangery, the courtyard, the dining hall were all great locations and had a great view of the lake which was super pretty for pictures. The service was good, food was nice, and the wedding coordinator that venue provided was attentive. As a guest, the room was alright. We had a family room and it was really good sized. We were provided with a cot at £15 surcharge a night, which was reasonable, and the cot was wooden and stable. The room decor was a bit dated, but seems intentional to preserve the older feel of an old manor. The bathroom light was placed quite awkwardly on the wrong side next to the door so it was hard to turn off discreetly to not wake the baby. The sink has 2 taps hot and cold - not a fan.The spa needed to book slots at a surcharge from £30/40 per person for 2hr slot, but had access to jacuzzi, a big pool and 4 sauna rooms. Really nice. The estate is big and you can go on a hike/view the lake, but it is very muddy after rain so you would need good footwear that you don't mind getting dirty. Not very baby friendly for pram but good for adults.Breakfast was a bit lacking, full hot breakfast at request at table (e.g. egg Benedict, egg royale, full English etc) but no fresh fruit choices. Tea coffee included. Has baby high chair and nappy changing area for babies.Overall it was a nice weekend break for us.

We had a great 2 night stay. Very dog friendly , a lovely toy , bowl and towel ready for the dog. The experience was brilliant. From reception, house keeping, mcleoads the view and Nàdarra the standards are excellent. Breakfast was lovely, especially with the stunning view. The grounds are great for exploring

We had the loveliest holiday in this hotel - incredible location in the Dales, surrounded by hills and valleys, lots of beautiful hikes nearby, super-comfortable bed, an amazing spa to relax in after a day of exploring the Dales, lovely food in 3 different restaurants (one of which has an incredible view, try to get a window seat!), a well-equipped gym and really friendly helpful staff. The only slight shame is that you have to pay extra to use the swimming pool, normally would expect this to be included - but it was worth the additional cost to use the fantastic spa facilities. We can't wait to stay here again.

The room was very tired and not worth the price tag in my opinion. Stains on seating, flat throw pillows, damaged wood, damp and worn bathroom fixtures, tiny television, facing the car park…. Saving grace was that the bed was super comfy. But having booked a superior room at an extra cost, I was certainly expecting more - I do definitely wonder what a standard looks like! The service was fine. The staff weren’t the most upbeat and not the most attentive - but a lot of them were very young and I remember working in hotels myself at that age - it can be thankless and you have plenty of bad days - so no judgement there. We got along fine with minimal staff contact. The restaurant was fine too - the food was well presented. The spa itself was brilliant. I wouldn’t stay at the hotel again, but I’d definitely return to use the spa! Great facilities and would recommend visiting in the sunshine to make the most of the outdoor ones which were amazing.
