Longworth Hall Hotel
We had 3 days in the hotel, as part of our 20th wedding anniversary. So friendly staff with big smiles and friendly advice. Breakfast exceptional, views over the fields from charming room just divine. We are from a city and found the change in pace lovely. Longs of places to explore. We tried a few local pubs, and found them all good.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of the countryside. Huge, comfortable room and excellent breakfast. The whole hotel is badly in need of some urgent TLC otherwise this would probably have been a 5 star review.

Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch, beautifully presented. Good choice of wine. The Blue room has the most amazing views. Highly recommend. Thank you for my perfect birthday lunch. See you again soon.

There is much to like in Longworth Hall, but a few things that were surprisingly below standard for a hotel of this standing. My partner and I stayed for one night’s B&B, with another family couple in the next room. The hotel’s country settling was lovely and the 18th century (?) building impressive. Check-in was fine and we were shown to our very large, clean, room overlooking the terrace and fields. The room had plenty of storage, a very large double bed (2 singles put together) and 2 chairs. The first problem became apparent when we laid down for an afternoon rest. The springs on my bed literally made several ‘boing’ noises as I sat on the bed and then lay down (and I only weigh 75kg). The mattress should have been retired, and the same for the pillows which were flat and hard, presumably compressed (possibly feathers?) from many years’ work.In many hotels there is no good lighting to read in bed but here the bedside lights were good. The bathroom was compact but fine, but showed several maintenance issues. For example, the toiletries shelf in the shower was hanging loosely at a slope and there were multiple holes on the back of the bathroom door where hooks had once been (they probably needed hollow door fixings). There was plentiful hot water in the basin tap, but it was, literally, scalding hot without any warning notice. Towels were good. When we returned to the room about midnight, I wanted to make a cup of coffee, there was a machine with pods and some instant sachet. Unfortunately, I can only drink decaff, which wasn’t provided.Breakfast was good. There was a small selection of cereals and muesli, a toast machine, sweetened fruit yogurts (but not natural yogurt),fruit juice and some fruit. Hot drinks and cooked breakfast were ordered. The cooked breakfast was excellent, with really good quality bacon a stand-out. I requested decaff coffee and it was provided, but was so incredibly weak that it was undrinkable. I drink my coffee black and I don’t expect to be able to see the cup through the coffee. As an alternative, I then requested some lemon slices to go with tea and that was brought promptly.I’d stay here again but at this price point, the weaker points should be remedied

Hired Longworth Hall Hotel for our wedding. It was an amazing experience, made even more so by the owner (Kim). She went out of her way to make our wedding memorable for all the right reasons. Kims experience in handling of the guests and the Celebrants meant that we (my wife-to-be and I) were free to prepare for the ceremony.Food was beautifully prepared and presented, staff were down-to-earth, fun and friendly.Thank you all for a brilliant day we will always remember!

What a beautiful hotel ! I found this hotel on Bookings.com so really had little idea of what to expect.Well, I have to say that I was blown away by it.The setting is exquisite, as are the building and grounds and to top it all, there is a magnificent tree at the front, which is hard to take your eyes off.I was given a warm welcome and went to my room to unwind after a long drive. The room was wonderful with a view to die for. I spent a long time sitting and looking out of the window, so gorgeous in the evening sun - the lovely cows just added to the glorious country scene. My dinner was delicious and served with a smile. I went to bed (which was huge and very comfortable) a very relaxed and happy man. I’m absolutely sure I’ll be back to this wonderful hotel. One disappointment I’m afraid. I’ve just found out they don’t allow dogs, what a shame because I usually travel with my Cocker Spaniel.

A beautiful character building in a secluded rural location. We received a warm friendly welcome the moment we stepped through the door. The food was very enjoyable, both breakfast and dinner. Our room (No.5), was very clean and vast in size. The bed comfy and the bed linen crisp and fresh. The curved floor to ceiling windows are a magnificent feature, offering far reaching countryside views. We woke to the sight and sounds of cows grazing in the nearby field. Our only complaint, though it's not really a complaint, more an observation. The room was beige, bland and characterless. There was no theme, no sense of design. Completely at odds with the beautiful grand exterior of the building. That said, we'll definitely return. A big thank you, to Longworth Hall.
