This is a magnificent philatelic society with a fantastic library, an excellent museum, a superb collection of stamps and there is a panel of experts in residence who provide opinions on whether items submitted to them are genuine. The meetings provide displays of stamps and postal history by distinguished philatelists from all over the world and there is a lively social life within the society. The Society has now moved from Devonshire Place to 15 Abchurch Lane in the City of London and the first meeting was held there on Thursday 12th September 2019. This building is a great improvement on Devonshire Place and the facilities available are magnificent. The Society is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year and on 26th November 2019 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited 15 Abchurch Lane as Patron of the Society to open its new home.

Just came from France with my wife, even if I am not a member of the society (I came to buy some books and past issues of the London Philatelist) we were kindly welcome.Next time in London, I will certainly come again.
