We were recommended this place so we called by after a lovely drive over a snow covered beautiful drive over the moors & stopping off near the old kilns for a walkabout. We had probably the best carrot & walnut cake we’ve ever tasted ! Lovely staff and a very nice location.

Excellent food and beverages. Very friendly staff and service. Even have gluten free bread and beer. We enjoyed our time here sat outside in the sun. Both sandwiches came with a lovely salad and coleslaw. Had Yorkshire ham and mustard and coronation chicken. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delightful little village cafe/tea room. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious. The menu never fails to disappoint. The sweet treats they have available are just mouthwatering to look at and even better to choose a couple of things and try them at home with a cup of tea!

We visited her today with our dog and called ahead to book a table which was ready upon arrival. Staff very friendly and the food was amazing. I had the chicken pesto sandwich which was very filling, generous portions and even the side salad was lovely. For dessert we had the lemon meringue pie and again the portion was big and it tasted lovely. Will be visiting again in the future and would highly recommend. They also have a little outside seating area for the warmer days.

Visited on a rainy Yorkshire day and this place put a smile on our faces. Warm, cosy fire and friendly, welcoming service. Cakes & scones to die for! Also had the soup which was delicious and looked so lovely. We shall definitely visit again soon!

An incredible find on the moors. So many flavours from our childhoods, recreated even better than before. The fish finger sandwich is less fish finger than fine dining fish in a massive salad with homemade bread. Amazing. The Yorkshire rarebit with relish and salad everything I recall of cheese on toast, but so, so much better. Excellent decaf oataccinos, the rhubarb strudel tasted just like granddad's and the cream tea included fluffy scones and that jam.. highly, highly recommended.

It's probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Tasty produce cooked very well. Lovely service. An intimate cafe which is clearly very popular - we arrived shortly after opening at 10am and tables were already occupied and all bar one other was reserved. We got lucky! Make sure to take a cake for the road as they are also delicious.

Looks very popular amongst the locals. While we were there, they were making a cherry jam. They bake their own bread and cakes in their own kitchen .I was disappointed over my coranation chicken sandwich. It came with sliced chicken with some yellow sauce spread on the bread. It aught to be done with small chunks of chicken with some raisins added on to the coronation sauce. A bit disappointed. Enjoyed the strawberry roll though.

The best high tea I’ve ever had in my life. The scones were incredible, served with beautiful raspberry jam, and a delicate Yorkshire tea.
