Gaffy's News offer a first rate service both locally and for people using the delivery/collection service. Completely reliable and extremely helpful.

Used to be a decent and ideal place to drop off and collect parcels but recently it’s gone vastly downhill. Customer service isn’t pleasant, you are often greeted with a hostile attitude and experiencing this doesn’t encourage you to use the shop. I’ve had family members dropping off parcels that have been deliberately damaged multiple times, and been questioned on unnecessary things about the parcels. This has not happened for any of us anywhere else. Customers have always been satisfied with the packaging of their items when they’ve received them from us, so I wouldn’t assume we are the problem. In future we will be dropping off parcels elsewhere after these issues have continued.

Nice owners and workers but can be a bit funny at times. Ive used here a few times to send off multiple parcels and they've never had a problem with the way its been packaged, they’ve simply just taken it from me and given me my receipt and everything was okay. However after these past few times that ive been theyve been treating my parcels like dirt, questioning me on stupid things abt the parcel that really aren’t necessary. The first time i took this one specific parcel in they snatched it off me and instead of handling with care, ripped the bag fully open!! And told me to take it back as they couldn’t accept even though they were the ones who ripped it, i as I understood what he was saying and took it on the chin i came to terms with what he had said and realise that fair enough the bag probably wasnt suitable for the capacity it held inside. 2 days later id returned with the item in multiple bags so that it separated out the bags so that there wouldn’t be too much for the bag and it would be secure (which they were) and once again it got chucked on the floor by the man and ripped which then led to him telling me once again that he couldn’t accept it. Ive been using the same material bag as ive had the previous times ive used here and other places and ive never had a complaint from the people who received the parcels or the other companys who have accepted my parcels, after telling him this he told me that other companies werent doing their jobs. Maybe its them thats the problem and not the other companies. Like i said, nice people but just not the best with your parcels

Absolutely terrible customer service. Rude, threatening and childish attitude from one worker. Claims he is “the man in charge” but I don’t think anyone would let this vulgar and disrespectful person in charge of any business. I wanted to return a parcel, he refused to put the sticker on for the returns label in front of me. When I asked why not he screamed at me to leave his shop, Never come back and that he was on the phone to his accountant and I had to leave him alone. He was the only “worker” in the shop and all I wanted was to make sure my parcel was sent properly. While yelling in my face he had his hands wafting around in front of me trying to be very intimidating. When I said I would come back the next day to speak to a manager with my husband he told me to “bring my husband and they’ll have a fight”. The man seems to be seriously unhinged and in need of some mental health support ASAP. I strongly advise everyone to enter with caution if at all!!!

There is very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this shop for click and collect service.

I go for my news papers early and the shop is open at 6am the owners are pretty punctual and if you want them delivered they will do so the shop is well stocked you can also buy lotto tickets at 6am .if you want to.I recommend this news agents as one of the few shops which has managed to buck the trend and stay open has over the years shops have dissapered and not reopened..

A shop that has been in Atherton for years. Staff are a credit to Atherton, very friendly & helpful. You can get pretty much everyday items, Paypoint Lottery & Parcel Services comes in very handy. *****

Used for Amazon collection. When I went to collect they didn’t give me all my parcels and despite what their opening hours state online, they have remained shut. Do not recommend.
