Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of attending Northern Ballet’s production of ‘The Nutcracker’ at The Grand Theatre & Opera House Leeds - and it was nothing short of enchanting. The dancers exhibited grace, charm and chemistry as they transported the audience with their expressive storytelling. The live orchestra, underpinning the entire production, elevated the performance to new heights, bringing Tchaikovsky's score to life. It is also impossible not to be captivated by the sheer beauty of the venue itself. Its aesthetic charm and architectural grandeur add an extra layer of magic to the overall experience. In addition to the spectacular performance, it is worth commending the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff at The Grand Theatre & Opera House Leeds. From the moment I arrived, until the final curtain call, all staff exhibited a level of professionalism and friendliness that enhanced the overall experience.I cannot recommend Northern Ballet’s productions at The Grand Theatre & Opera House enough. It was a truly incredible experience that left me in awe. Whether you're a seasoned ballet enthusiast or a newcomer to the art form, it will offer a perfect blend of talent, music, and storytelling that is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.

We are performing “Dirty Dancing” here this week! I did “A Touch of Venus” (Ann Ronell, Kurt Weill ) with Opera North as a principal here once and as a tour. An unforgettable company to work with I must say❣️A beautiful space to create in. We are lucky. I’ve added photos walking around Leeds. A grand place.

Beautiful theatre. Visited a number of times for different performances, most recently for The Commitments. Unfortunately the wheelchair spaces in the stalls are on a slope so make sure your brakes are tight before you go! Accessible toilets are great and the bar area is easily accessed. Entrance to the theatre is via the box office, in the lift. A companion ticket is offered for those booking an accessible ticket.

Fabulous evening for The King and I. Great cast and musicians. We went to say thanks to the orchestra it took so long to get there against the flow only 2 people were still in the pit! But we did it. Not many do. Staff were polite, helpful and well organised.

Loved this place, the architecture was stunning. The bar was very pretty. I say in the stalls and had a great view of the stage. The sound quality was great too. The access wasn't great as no wheelchairs are allowed in the stalls. I am not sure about the upper levels.

OK so. The theatre is gorgeous. That's the first thing you need to know. The second thing you need to know is that this is the home of Opera North. If you've never been to the opera then you need to go see it here.I thought I wouldn't like it and that it was too poncey for me. I was wrong. I love it and you will too.

Lovely theatre, beautiful auditorium and fabulous production. Bar prices weren't extortionate, but if they want to be cashless then they need to accept all credit cards, not just Visa and MasterCard
