So my cat had an appointment to be neutered.Within five minutes of dropping my cat off I receive a phone call saying that shes stressed and unless I pay an extra £20 for a sedative they won’t do the surgery, and if they don’t do the surgery I’ll be charged another £20.The person who I spoke to was not very nice down the phone and was quite rude.I was not very happy as I’d been waiting months for this surgery for her but it just seem to be money after money. Not very welcoming and seem to look down at you.Won’t be returning.

Fantastic service for my litter of Boxer Puppies. The cost for the jabs and microchip at the moment is outstanding compared to the ludicrous prices of other vets. Tom the vet in duty and his assistant seemed competent and switched on. Good parking, nice clean practice area.Excellent service.

We have used the Abbey Vets Group for many years for our dog and also our previous pets. Our little Cairn Terrier has needed surgery on his leg this week. This branch vet carried out the operation. I can not praise them enough, from the vet to the nurse to the administration staff, they have all been helpful, friendly and most of all reassuring. The verbal and written communication before, during and after the surgery has been brilliant, they kept us informed about everything that was happening all the way through. I would have no problem recommend the practice to anyone excellent care.

Rung up to make an appt here as the darton branch were not answering the phone despite trying for 2 days to get through. The receptionist here was rude on the phone and seemed like she couldn't be bothered So I put phone down shall be cancelling my account as abbey vets don't seem to want my business so ill take it to a vets that does!

They only care about money. They failed to diagnose a simple ACL tear in 2 whole years and 12 appointments in total. When I complained their response was a one liner to say they're not specialists. Well then why didn't you refer me to one? Of course when we used the insurance cap we were no longer useful to them. Stay well away

Hello,My partners hamster died yesterday, he was only 1 year and a bit old. He was well looked after and they were best friends, she had trained him and everything. He wasn't ill or off at all, just nibbling his tail, so she brought him to you two weeks ago. You assured her it wasn't wet tail or anything serious, but that you would operate on his tail.Afterwards she gave him the medication you prescribed in perfect mesured doses - we are both neurodivergent and so are meticulous. However yesterday we noticed he was squeaking and had gone floppy, so we called you and you assured us to just continue his medication and yet that evening he died. This is distressing as we have just recently lost our two year old nephew, who had barakat syndrome. We are all upset, but my partner is devastated. This is not the first time a pet of hers has been fine until going to the vets and it is both suspicious and heartbreaking. We want him cremated but that is another cost on top of everything else. Plus to have him cremated individually it is £180, which is over double what even places like Cannon Hall Farm charge. This is disgraceful and they do only care about money!

I don't know what happened to Abbey Vets. Use to be very good, but this last 18 months, every visit has been poor - long waits, vet in a rush, doesn't do a thorough assessment.Sadly our dog died after 2 weeks of them saying he was fit and healthy, they wouldn't even address our concerns. Our next dog will definitely not be registered with them.
