The Carmelite Friary
As an American with the surname burnham I might be biased, but I liked it. Quaint, but not a destination compared to other sights in England. but if you find yourself in burnham it's rather neat.

The Carmelite Friary
English Heritage type location as run by Norfolk Wildlife An old gatehouse and one wall of a church. Friary from mid 1200s until dissolved in mid 1500s. Not much yo see. Has info board to tell you about site.

A very tranquil Friary and grounds opposite the primary school in Burnham Norton. Very quiet. Good place for a picnic.

We found this quite by accident when out walking. It's a pretty small site and a nice addition to a walk if you are nearby but probably not worth a special visit. There's a small sign giving info about the site should you want to know more about it's history etc

Lovely historic building, set in the edge of the field opposite the school. Helpful board with a history of the site too.
