Handy Rubbish

I would not recommend this company. After sending them all details address and pictures we did agree on a price.On the collection day they were two hours late and nobody bother calling to inform of this delay, which was very annoying as I called them in the morning to reconfirm the collection time frame.They also tried to charge more than the price agreed. On my first contact I gave them the address informed them of the congestion zone, which for a company working in Kennington is a must. Based on the info I agreed on a quote.They tried by all means to bully me into paying more. I did refuse to pay more. They told me the waste was nearly two hundred kilos when could not possibly be more than 20.I would not use again.

Absolutely horrendous service! After spending two weeks, speaking to someone called James Robinson, Being told several times that they would come at a particular timeslot to collect the rubbish from our storage unit. Not only did they not show up within that timeslot, but they made us wait an hour and a half later before they actually came. We had to call them to find out where they were, and it was only them that they told us that they were going to be another hour and a half late. I tried calling them several times to find out what was going on, and they showed very little empathy and understanding about the situation. Clearly the person that we had been liaising with James Robinson, the whole time had been giving us very different information from what was actually the case. I cannot stress how horrific the service has been making the customer weight 4 1/2 hours and Not updating them about your ETA!! Avoid them at all costs!!!!

I used this company a few years back and in general they were good so fast forward to now I contacted them recently asking them for a quote to remove some odd bits we threw out when redecorating. I specfiacally listed all the items with photos and was given a quote by Alan on the 3rd Nov '21 for: Team of 2 men, Labour: 50 Mins, Cubic yards: 10.5, Max weight: 700-800kgs, Service cost : £230. I thought this was a tad steep for me to stay within my budget and for a what the items were so I contacted the council to get rid of six of the bulkier items and continued to shop around for junk removal companies. Alan sent a follow up email 12th Nov asking if I was still interested in their services. Replying to his email I asked Alan for a second quote explaining that the council got rid of some of the rubbish so I just need a quote for the remainder of the items, again listed and photos sent in the email. Alan responded within 20 mins but this time the quote was higher for £260 for exactly the same cubic yards, max weight, labour time and a team of 2 men. I'm baffled by this shouldn't the quote be lower than before as the load had been reduced? I gave a follow up email with a screen shot of his first quote and was expecting another prompt response from Alan as it was within the prompt response time barrier but he has not got back to me.Edit: Alan got back to me after seeing this review stating that I am misleading the public and this will leave customers with the wrong impression of this company. Well I think Alan really did that all on his own.

What they quote you and what they charge is different. Completely fooling people.Don’t use them.Aggressive customer service once driver turns up and suddenly want £700 from thin air far from initial quote. Don’t go by reviews here as they can’t be accurate

I do not recommend this company.I needed waste from a kitchen refit to be removed. After sending a photo, I was quoted £150. This was confirmed by email.Shortly after the 2 man crew arrived, I got a call from a guy at their office to say that the price was £200. I refused to pay this, and cancelled.The later that day, I received a call from the the lady who I'd spoken to when making the booking. She told me they can send a different team tomorrow, to do the job at the confirmed price of £150. She was very pleasant throughout - without her this would have been a 1 star review!The new crew arrived the next day. They looked at the waste, then retired to their cab. I then received a call from the same guy who'd spoken to me the day before. He informed me that they refused to do the job. I asked if there was room for negotiation, meaning between £150 and £200. He quoted me £200 to £230!Considering I could get a skip for around £250, which the waste would fill about third of, £200 to £230 was an exorbitant amount of money to ask. In addition, it was unprofessional to confirm a price, then demand more when on site.Again, I do not recommend this company.

I can’t express how pleased I am with my experience working with Handy Rubbish! After having multiple issues with rubbish removal companies in the past, this company delivered exactly what they promised - exceptional service at an unbeatable price. When I contacted them, Ian (the foreman) was extremely helpful right off the bat - he answered all my questions with patience and professionalism; which is something you don’t tend to find these days! He went above and beyond all expectations by sending out an additional crew member when we needed it without charging us any extra fees for exceeding our original booking timeslot. On top of that – despite having tons of scrap metal and bulky items that fill their trucks – these guys never lost focus from providing excellent customer service! Everyone worked hard and even gave us tips on how we can dispose waste properly in future without needing middlemen like them. It really showed how much care they had for their customers! If you’re looking for someone who can completely clear a large volume waste item without having you break your wallet – Handy Rubbish should definitely be your first port-of-call!

Handy rubbish removals @ enfield are really good company.They are very professional and really helpful.Kate who runs the bookings in the office is very nice and gets the jobs booked very quickly with no fuss.I have used them twice now and as domestic customer, both bookings being next day which was extremely helpful. Their prices are very competitive and are very affordable.Their contractors are super polite and cheerful and work very quickly.They also do various types of contracts so I'm sure what ever collection services you need they can fulfil with ease.I highly recommend them because Im very happy with the work they completed for me. I will definatley use them again for any future jobs.

Don't give them your card Details!Don't use them!We had a agreed an estimate for removal. I moved all the items to the road to make it convenient for them over the week end.By the Monday morning it seems the neighbours had taken 90% of the items leaving basically 2 (1 plastic shelf and 1 drum (mixed items) of the 18 items.I tried calling to explain the situation and whether we can reduce the quote - they said no. I asked can we at least use the lower of the estimate and they refused and charged the maximum to my card.Literally use anyone else!

I would recommend this company.Needed to clear out an office space in NW6.... It turned out that we had over two van loads of junk! I called Handy Rubbish and sent them some pictures of the job. They were very responsive, provided a quote and we agreed a time. A van and two guys came and cleared the place the next day. They were on time, efficient and respectful - and did all of the hard work.Fully licensed and provided a waste transfer notice and a VAT invoice .(This is a genuine review... Job Ref: 168320Ben)
