I have been with Benfield Valley Healthcare Hub for a couple of years now. It's really refreshing to contact a doctor's surgery with receptionists that are polite and helpful. I've also had various appointments with doctors and nurses within this time, again, the one's I've seen have all been lovely.It's really easy to order repeat prescription through their online service, saving me time.At first, I was unsure about only being able to book a telephone appointment, but now I actually now prefer it. It has saved me making unnecessary trips to the surgery, and if the doctor feels I need to be seen, they've always managed to fit me in same day.

During my visit today I spoke to a receptionist, a health care assistant and a doctor. I found all three of them to be genuinely friendly, kind and professional. In the past I've had some pretty negative experiences at GPs in other parts of the country, and I really want to thank everyone at the clinic for being so helpful. Particular thanks to the doctor I saw who, despite being under a lot of pressure and a bit behind on appointments, managed to quickly and efficiently deal with my issues without ignoring what I was saying or being discourteous (which, again, I have sadly experienced many times in the past). That's a hard balance to get right.Regarding the 'can't get through to the receptionist' complaints I see a lot here: Yes that's a feature of this clinic, most stuff is managed online and there's a phone triage system they use ahead of booking in person appointments. The upside of this system is I've generally had call backs from doctors within a few days of me requesting an appointment. This is immensely preferable to being given an in person appointment in a month's time only to be told or prescribed something that could have been done over the phone (the way I've had it in other clinics) - so all in all I'm happy with the system - but do have a lot of sympathy with people who can't access the internet.Thanks to all the staff, keep up the hard work!

I've Been with this surgery just under a year. I've had the privilege of speaking with Doctor Devlin who was brilliant above and beyond in regards to my Son. I've also had the privilege of dealing with the Nurse (I apologise for not remembering his name, I was in a panic about my Daughter) But again absolutely Brilliant two of the receptionist Karen and Jane who again was very helpful, polite and again went out of their way to help. Online was really really quick and easy to use, I was called back within a few hours, Telephone queues are and I would always prefer to be seen by a Doctor but again we are in a pandemic so safety first but I'm sure if a face to face was necessary you would be seen for me good service so far and I would recommend and I would like to thank all Staff for being there in this horrible pandemic for Usthe patients

If it was impossible to give a quarter of a star I 100% would have given that score and that would be me being generous.This doctor's surgery has failed my daughter numerous times. They have neglected her medical needs. Making assumptions of what is wrong with her that has been very wide of the mark. The reception staff are very rude and unhelpful then there are the doctors all I can say is incompetent they should not be allowed to continue practicing. Avoid this practice they lie to your face.

The doctors are great but the service is run badly though. This is the only surgery I know that is entirely telephone based! It’s literally Telephone appointments only and its an absolute joke... you have to ring about 50 times at 8.30am to get through and to see if you can get on the list. Also, you have to be available to answer the phone all day long which is really inconvenient if you’re at work and have a minor health issue to discuss. If you’re really poorly, same goes... you have to wait all day for a phone call from the doctor and I spend the entire day anxious that I will miss the call. I miss my old surgery where it was patient care centred. This one feels very out of touch and not nice at all.... I also feel really bad for the doctors who trained so hard, only to sit on the phone and be a telesales person!

The service at this surgery has rapidly declined within the past 2 years. Obviously the pandemic has not helped but since the online request form and callback service has been introduced, it is very near impossible to speak to a doctor/clinician via telephone yet alone see one face to face.Their system is a complete let down, therefore no real health service is being provided at all. When I have been able to receive a call (when they don't call you randomly without proper warning so you are caught out and not able to said call or available to answer so have to start the whole process all over again!) they may (if you're lucky) send you for a blood test or xray only to receive no real following up or advice. Also no proper communication and when they do, it's either repeated generic flu appointments for ones that have already been made OR you're receiving messages meant someone else! Utterly pointless and so disappointed in how I have been treated (or NOT treated as it currently stands)! AVOID!

You should respect peoples time, if the appointment is at a certain time you should get the patient not make him wait 40 minutes in the waiting room

My husband returned home from hospital on Monday it was advised that he seeked his own GP surgery doctors appointment as soon as he was home, he called the surgery that afternoon, no call back happened, we called a number of times to check he was still on the waiting list for a call back Tuesday and Wednesday.It got to Wednesday afternoon and we still had, had no call back from the surgery. My husband called again on wednesday afternoon and finally got to speak to a GP there and then but only because he made a complaint on the phone.And all the surgery could say in response to this was that they would try and do better in future "My husband has been extremely poorly and when seeking for GP help should never have been LEFT FOR 56 HOURS WITHOUT HELPto say I'm angry for the lack of concern is an understatement. I hope things are much better in his future care and the care of all patients."
