Notcutts Garden Pride

Very spacious a good selection of pots at reasonable prices, and a great deal to see garden wise, food wise, toys and fancy goods.We had lunch in the restaurant and it was very enjoyable.Will definitely visit again.

Very well presented and laid out. A good range of plants and looked well taken care of. It was my first visit and I lover it. Price is comparable to other garden centres.

Decided to visit garden centre again after not visiting for some time. Well it still hasn’t improved! The garden centre is full of neglected plants that have seen better days and still trying to sell them for the full price!Inside is like a jumble sale. And the shops that sell clothes, shoes etc inside are aimed for the more older visitors.Probably the worst garden centre around… locally anyway.The only good thing is that the staff are nice and friendly!

Ordered fish pie for lunch, almost £12.Don't order if you are hungry.Disgustingly small portion, more peas in it than fish snd the equivalent of 1large New potatoe sliced on top.I was hoping thus would be my main meal of the day but more of an overpriced snack.

Just been here for a quick visit to get a drink and bite to eat. But we noticed a sign to the notcutts nature trail.Curiosity took hold and found an entrance behind the sheds for sale that went into a field turned into a nature trail. It was very peaceful and we were the only ones in it apart from birds and insects. Loads of plants and bug houses, there were blackberry bushes apples trees and other fruit just planted for the wildlife.It was so nice to see a garden centre putting land back to nature and not doing it for profit as they did not charge to go in. You can follow the path around and enjoy the peace. Over the far side there is a bird feeding center and a wooden bench to sit and watch. Unfortunately the feeders were empty this time, hopefully next time we will be luck to catch them with feed in and we will see some native birds.Well done notcutts hopefully other garden centres will follow your lead.

A very nice garden centre if you want to buy everything for the garden that doesn’t involve plants! They do sell compost and plants at reasonable prices, though the other stuff could be purchased elsewhere at lower prices. However it does all look very lovely

We often have a light lunch here on a Sunday. There's a good choice and it's usually tasty and hot. The plants always look healthy and well cared for, though maybe a bit more expensive than some other garden centres. There's also a big clothes and toys section as well as cookware and food. There is a kiddies play area outside.

A very good restaurant, efficient in service and excellent basic food. This may be evidenced by the numbers of people visiting and eating in it.Simple plain food well cooked and presented is the key here. The staff are exceptional, always cheerful, helpful and willing.There is an indoor large seated area with an outdoor area for the better weather but watch out for the wasps. A medium sized children's gated play area is also available.Prices are typical of garden centres, not more then any other in the area, cheaper then some!Update August 2023 Service excellent. Food pretty good ! Very simple menu but it keeps it efficient yet satisfying. Cod and chips , Bacon loin, two eggs and chips plus a children's burger meal with two pots of tea. Cost around 35 pounds. All was perfectly good and the chips were first class. Wasps were a nuisance but you can always eat inside.

Lovely garden centre - however - plants can be a bit pricey; and the restaurant is so large surely you could dedicate a small area for DOG owners PLEASE to sit inside (rather than freeze to death outside). I'm single and disabled, have a rescue dog with anxiety issues, so can't be left alone - so during the winter I have to go elsewhere... despite your garden centre being local and the seating area usually empty when I visit early. Food is always lovely and it's so light and airy and its worth a stop over. PS: the Cotton Traders shop is the best in the area, friendly staff, well stocked and so easy to order online and collect from there. PLS consider a dog friendly area - even if it were just a corner near the exit to outside seating area?

This is our local garden centre and we do enjoy it. We’ve often come to the cafe for a coffee and cake which has always been nice. This time we had lunch. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.I had a salad with ham and was blown away with two big thick cuts of ham. And a tasty salad too. The newish larger cafe and outdoor seating area are very nice.
