The Arches

Wow! This venue is amazing. I have photographed a few weddings at The Arches and love it. The building has a lot of character and can be styled to suit. The staff are so friendly and caring, and have always been so helpful. The food is delicious! The staff went out of their way to sort me a vegan meal out last minute after I stepped into cover another wedding photographer.From a photography point of view - the building itself has huge windows - letting in loads of natural light, and there's plenty of space for indoor photographs. There's also some great spots nearby for some characterful, industrial, urban photographs. There's some special unique features - like where the couple are able to cut their cake in one of the old window frames.I can't wait to come back soon!

The Arches is a beautiful venue with a unique look. The venue has a good level of wheelchair accessibility, and is easy to get to, with extensive parking nearby in the large car park opposite. The Travelodge that can be seen from the doors of the venue is a nice bonus!In terms of planning our wedding reception, the venue were very helpful, laid back and willing to accommodate our ideas, as well as provide helpful suggestions with aspects of the day we didn't have clear ideas about. The team there have plenty of experience of large events, and can cater for a real range of options. They can offer a wide selection of food options, whether you're looking for a three course dinner, or an at-table buffet, which we opted for. They were also able to deal with any issues that came up quickly. We had a ceilidh in the evening, which there was plenty of space for.Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day special!

We got married at the Arches on Saturday (16.07.22) and it could have not been more perfect. We booked back in 2020 so had lots of time to plan - The Arches team kept us up to date with the ever-changing Covid landscape and then when it got closer to the date, Naomi was just amazing at going through every detail with us, without it ever becoming overwhelming. The team helped with every aspect, from deciding what food to choose, to calming my nerves about impending 40 degree weather, to catering for a multitude of dietary reqs!The venue itself is stunning and as a DIY bride, I really appreciated not having to need to add a lot to the venue in terms of decor / styling to have a big impact - and even then, Naomi helped on the morning to ensure everything was just right.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Arches as a wedding venue - we've had so many compliments from friends & family about the venue and surroundings - and the food, one guest said that they'd remember the Sticky Toffee Pudding for the rest of their lives, and another was quick to note how well V/Vgs were catered for - which they'd not had at other venues. Special shout out for Naomi who had an early start helping us set-up, re-arranging timings on the day when we fell behind and just generally being amazing! We had the perfect day, thank you.

I've photographed weddings at The Arches a number of times, and I can say with confidence it's one of my favourite local venues! No matter how many times I visit for weddings, The Arches always looks and feels unique to each couple which is amazing. It's such a versatile space and the staff are so accommodating and flexible to each couple's wants and needs. I can especially vouch for the food which is incredible! I know I'm always going to be looked after by Naomi, Jamie and the team when I visit so I always look forward to being back. The Arches is the perfect venue for laid back couples who want a unique place to party in!

It’s nearly a month since our autumnal wedding at the Arches and we still can’t stop smiling! We felt so lucky after the past 18 months that our original numbers could all be invited and everyone has been so full of praise for the beautiful venue and all our amazing suppliers. We loved being able to bring suppliers together to get the look and feel we wanted for our wedding day. We also enjoyed a post wedding breakfast with our wider family friends at True North their sister restaurant...Thank you to Jamie, Naomi and all the Arches team. Matt and Michelle xx

Celebrated my son's wedding here in September. The venue was ideal with ample parking and a hotel nearby. The atmosphere is lovely and interior gorgeous. I did the flowers the day before and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. On the day they took charge of everything and it ran without a hitch. Clearing up the next day, they had moved all the flowers and candles etc. to one side to make packing up easy and quick. Sam ran the ship and was a delight to work with. Thank you guys!

We recently got married at The Arches and it was the perfect wedding venue. The staff are so helpful and were very accommodating with everything we wanted to do... they even let us bring our dog!Naomi ensured that the day ran perfectly and that everything was in the right place at the right time! She helped us set everything up and her expertise and advice throughout planning was very much appreciated.The food was incredible! Our guests were nothing but complimentary about how nice everything tasted and how good the portion sizes were.You made our day perfect and we're so glad that we choose to get married at The Arches!
