Bright Horizons Leeds Day Nursery and Preschool

My child attended when he was 15 months old and stayed for about a year. Being a first time mum I did not notice all the red flags but 3 years later I realise there were lots of them and I have this guilt that my child and other children weren't looked well after so I feel the need to post a review. A few times when I would drop my child there was a baby about the age of 6 months who would be crying on the floor and no one came to hold him. I even saw a member of staff walking over the baby to access the other side of the room. When I would pick up my child he had very red eyes which staff said he had been sobbing on and off but that was every day for a year. When I would drive past the nursery on a week end my child would start crying uncontrollably and looking back he looked quite traumatised just looking at the nursery. Also a few times I had doubts that he wasn't happy there so I looked through the door after dropping him off and saw a member of staff violently throw my child's legs as t straighten them and sit it down then aggressively put a toy in front of him. I don't think something horrible happened to my child but I do believe children are left to cry it out and not much care is given by the staff.

Me and my son love this nursery, being a first time parent and being in lockdown I was so worried but he’s adapted very well he’s always so happy to go the team especially Nicola. I feel they are passionate, caring and all for child development. Communication is great, all staff are very friendly nothing is too much trouble. I’m happy with the level of care Theo receives when he’s not with his mum. Big thanks to Fiona, Nicola and Natalie for all the reassurance and great care to Theo.

Absolutely THE BEST!My son attended this nursery from 6mo until school time. He loved going there and made many friends along the way.Staff ( on all levels) is super professional, caring and listens to parents and kids.If not moving further and changing job location , my second son would go there too!

Bright Horizons Leeds is a brilliant nursery and I would give more than 5 stars if I could. The whole team, at all levels, is absolutely great, highly qualified, excellent with children and they all clearly demonstrate a passion for what they do. Our child has multiple allergies and the amount of care and attention given towards everything they do, means they also cater really well for diets too. All parts of the nursery are always very clean which is always very positive. The level of support provided in the development of children is exceptional and I definitely recommend this nursery!

I worked at Bright Horizons for 2 years while at university.The staff within the setting are so welcoming and friendly. They use incredible team work and skill to ensure the best for the children's needs and development.The professionalism shown by the management is second to none. They are organised, approachable and maintain a friendly and enjoyable work environment for all staff.I would highly recommend this nursery as both a place to work and a setting for children. It is honestly one of the best nurseries I have ever worked in.

I have worked at Bright Horizons for over a year. It is a warm, welcoming and family atmosphere. All the staff provide a caring and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop their individual skills and knowledge. We have good working relationships with parents, getting them involved with nursery activities and open days. This encourages them to share their ideas and opinions of how we can keep on improving to provide the best care for their children.

My child spent 3 years at bright horizons kirkstall and had no issues throughout. The staff were always pleasant, happy and nurturing. Feel very lucky to have found such a great nursery, if you’re reading this considering it as the nursery for your child, I can’t recommend enough. Thanks to everyone at bright horizons for all the love and support over the years.

Not best experience for us but decent nursery. I think they have a very “ one size fits it all “ process when children as so different and have such different needs. Staff appears to be involved into looking after the children but i think the higher management makes things a little difficult. I felt like they were rushing us into the settling process, that they aren’t aware of the developmental/ emotional needs of the kids ( but i might be wrong, thats just how i felt). Maybe it’s a. Good nursery for bigger kids but for infants/ toddler not so much. I also noticed random things like no socket covers, over used sippy cups for new babies ( is just £1 a sippy cup), some late replies for fairly important queries etc. One good thing, the staff looks to care about the babies ( within their professional limits because it is a job after all) but not really impressed and surprised of the high ratings.

For the past 1.5 years, our two daughters have been attending Bright Horizons in Kirkstall, and we are thrilled to share our experience. Every aspect of this nursery, from the dedicated staff to the exceptional facilities, has exceeded our expectations.We cannot overstate our gratitude to the wonderful team at Bright Horizons in Kirkstall for the exceptional care they've provided to our daughters. If it weren't for our recent relocation, we would have undoubtedly continued with this nursery until both girls reached school age. Having explored 10 other nurseries in our area, we can confidently say that none even come close to matching the quality and excellence offered by Bright Horizons.If you prioritize your children's education and well-being above all else, we wholeheartedly recommend Bright Horizons in Kirkstall as the premier nursery in Leeds.

My sons been at this nursery for the last 3 years and has thrived in his development and has always had such good bonds with the adults within the rooms. They don’t see the children as a whole they see them as individuals and help to nurture them, which is a very big positive in my opinion. My son is about to move to Preschool room and is very excited about it! My son had a speech delay and nursery have been so supportive and his key worker Nasreen has been amazing at supporting his language development and helping getting him to where he is now through small group activities and targeted intervention. I am very thankful for Nasreen, always keeping me up to date with his progress through detailed observations and reports.I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, the staff are outstanding and really do go above and beyond!
