Great experience for a first time tattoo. Laurie is a super guy, friendly and very helpful with advice. Erim did my tattoo, he was lovely, caring and patient. So good I had another, so now I have two.. Why stop at one right!Great place - I highly recommend it.

Erim created matching tattoos for us today for our wedding anniversary whilst we were visiting York. We are very happy with both the service and the overall tattoos :) Recommend and we will be back when visiting York again, thank you :)

Fantastic experience, from the ease of booking right through to the finished tattoo. Erim was a fantastic artist - gentle, thoughtful, excellent quality work and very keen to get it right all the way through. It wasn’t my first tattoo by any means but I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to be guided carefully through the whole process of getting a tattoo especially for the first time. Excellent work.

In May, I came here for a double helix piercing - I had zero complications and they healed perfectly. The other week, I stupidly took out one of the earrings and was unable to put it back in, making a bit of a mess of my ear in the process! I returned only for some advice but had my ear cleaned and the earring put back in, free of charge. Fantastic staff and brilliant service! Cannot recommend enough. Thank you!

I visited York not too long ago with my friend. We spent our first afternoon looking for a piercing place, as never visited before, used google to find the best. Checked out reviews and portfolios of the_york_piercer and that was it we'd chosen. We called up and immediately got an appointment booked in (there are also walk ins available too). We was greeted in a friendly manner and shown where to go. I then had the other side of my nose pierced while my friend had her tongue pierced. The gentleman was happy to answer all of the questions that we'd had and was super helpful and informative with aftercare etc. I then jokingly said I'd come back tomorrow to get my septum done. He then said I should go for it if I wanted too and that was it, I was booked in again. I've only ever had nose or ear piercings so he was happy to answer the questions I had and how it would feel differently, again all my questions got answered and within 10 minutes I was all done. This is the best place personally I recommend for any piercings. I didn't get the opportunity for a tattoo but I'm sure they are just as great. We spent a good hour looking online and especially us being tourists of this city we wanted to find the best and we absolutely did. All the staff are friendly and it was a pleasure to be pierced there!

G is an absolute gentleman & fantastic artist. I am having a full leg sleeve of Alice in Wonderland. Absolutely delighted with how it is coming along. I always habe a laugh with G & Larry when in for my sittings. Would highly recommend the studio, I have used multiple artists for my separate pieces over the years. A1 artwork& a First Class studio with professional, friendly staff who you can have a bit of craic with.

Absolutely amazing experience and quality if you’re looking for a walk-in tattoo. Erim was the one that did my tattoo, this was my first tattoo so I was quite nervous but he was brilliant talking me through everything and making sure it was perfect. Would highly recommend.

A couple of months ago me ,my daughter in law mother in law and sister all wanted a special tatoo for our very poorly littleboy who has lukemia. We went to Talisman for the first time and was met with a quite Rude man who was very abrupt . Anyway the Tatooist Irim turned up and we were all very pleased with him and his work. So we said to him can we book with you for the next one and he said yes as didn't want to deal with this very rude man again. So I booked with irim for today I travelled 20 miles and got to the studio to be told by the Same very rude man ,who I'm guessing is the owner or manager , that I wasn't booked in .His attitude was appalling!!! I explained I'd booked with the tatooist and the answer I got was I don't care what you think he's booked out all day!! " .He was soooo Rude. I walked out I will Not be returning for anymore tatoos (not because of Irim I might add) or recommending any of my friends to go there either!!!!"
