Really enjoyed the Raku workshop with Nigel. Very pleased with the two pots I glazed and had a great morning. Learned a lot. Highly recommend.

The raku workshop was a birthday present for a friend and we enjoyed it very much. Nigel started with some history and background, some good health and safety guidance and then we got stuck in and enjoyed a few hours of creative play, resulting in our taking home two gorgeous raku pieces. We used glaze and horse hair to achieve beautiful and very different results and we’re both so chuffed with what we achieved. Huge thanks to Nigel and Rose for a great workshop. V Highly Recommended !

We had a really great session with Nigel. A lovely morning, learning the techniques of Raku, and putting them into practice. Nigel is a great host and we also had some good chat as well! Highly recommended. And you get to take away some of your own pots. 10/10.

What can I say about the pottery from here? They are just amazing and come in such a variety of shapes, sizes and colours and come out so uniquely that you will want to collect even more! Can’t rate it highly enough

I’ve ordered several Black Rose pieces over the last few months, for myself and as gifts for others. Nigel does really beautiful work - very distinctive and extremely high quality. When sending items in the post, he is always very quick to get them sent out and he packages them so carefully (I was amazed when the first one survived in the mail, having felt it was a bit of a risk posting a vase, but now I don’t worry about it!). I can’t recommend his work highly enough and will definitely be buying lots more over the years I’m sure.

A fantastic workshop with Nigel Gossage today. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in ceramics. A wonderful tutor, full of knowledge, very friendly, patient with a safe but hands on approach to working with the dramatic raku. Delighted with the experience and proud of the beautiful pieces I made.Lots of his stunning work on his website and stocked in several prestigious craft venues.

Ordered a vase from Black Rose Ceramics and my fiancé and I are delighted with it! It goes perfectly in our spare bedroom and the horse hair effect looks really classy. We have even received compliments on it from guests. Would not hesitate to purchase another!
