Pye Baker Bakery and Cafe

My favourite local cafe and bakery!The pizza bread and sausage rolls are highly recommended.A nice neutral place to enjoy a coffee and a snack - lovely staff & 21st century outlook without hipster pretentiousness.

Fantastic bakery....love my loaf! Portuguese tarts are a treat and at Christmas the mince pies are truly spectacular! Well worth spending a little more than in a supermarket.

Fantastic service by lovely staff. Bread is amazing and you really must try their cheese scones. Matt is the best so try to get your bread when he's on.

We went to Pye Bakery for a light lunch; I had the angus beef burger with swiss cheese on brioche roll and an apricot danish pastry. My friend had a mango dome type of cake (I forgot the name).I didn't particularly like my burger because they had to change the bun, which ended up being too hard and chewy. This wasn't helped by the fact the burger meat itself was a bit dry.My pastry, on the other hand, was great and it's the reason I'm giving this bakery 4 stars. My friend also enjoyed her dessert, by the way.

Excellent little spot for a coffee and some quality bakery items - particularly the sausage rolls and pizza breads. Staff very friendly too, and no hipster snobbery!

Interminably long wait and very small filling. And noone likes a small filling!

Outstanding catering service! Pye Baker makes excellent food - that goes without saying - but the catering service is exceptional. I cannot thank Grimsby and Sally enough for the hard work they put into making our buffet perfect but also for their incredible support and genuine kindness.

Cakes are amazing ! I purchased 4 different whole cakes, at least 16 very generous portions from each one . Amazing home made taste and quality plus excellent service and delivery . Will definitely use again.

I'm not usually one to complain but I feel it necessary to. I have visited Pye Baker on Dereham Road in Norwich since it opened and had always been happy with the quality of product, even though prices are a little high. I went on the morning of the 15th August and there were no sandwiches ready in the fridge. The lady behind the counter said that they could make some up for me, and I was grateful as I wanted some nice treats to take on the ferry later that day for my wedding anniversary and told her that. When we opened the sandwiches to eat them I was sorely disappointed, the turkey sandwich I had was woeful, with only limp lettuce and no other salad (despite the label stating otherwise). My husband had the beef and horseradish - this was wrapped in a brown paper bag with no other wrapping, and so was dried out by the time it was opened and again it was similarly sad-not a lot of filling and hardly any salad. This is not the standard that I have come to expect from Pye Baker,and unfortunately this spoiled my plans for our wedding anniversary. Very sad to say I am loathe to visit again after this experience.

Absolutely amazing place great food staff are friendly and very helpful. No job to big they make you feel very welcoming well recommended.Hat off to you all at Pye Baker Bakery and Cafe
