Co-op Food - Edinburgh - McDonald Road

Very goot store for shopping good location, they have inside the store, ATM cash machine, Costa automatic coffee machine and you can pick up your parcel in the strorw, the have in post amazon lockers insode the store all you need its just the code from email, nice and helfull staff, overall positive experience, really recomend this co-op.

I was in the store on the 14 December 2021 around 21:30hr , and witnessed a Caucasian man walk in front of a girl (person of colour). The girl said excuse me, I was in the queue first. She was in the queue behind another women. The guy did not have his face towards the door, and did see her. Ridiculos.The girl was next to the till, and had he the arrogance to act superior. The till staff did not assist the girl, the security man did not assist the girl, and seemed to be intimidated by the loud man. Because he was being aggressive. The man was not social distancing, wearing a mask, or his family. None of them where social distancing, and his partner was coughing and had a runny nose etc. None of the staff said anything.She coughed in my direction, and it was disgusting. I had to leave, and went to shop in Tesco.Shocking allowing customers to aggressively intimidate the girl. Serious negligence by staff, and reporting this to head office.Don't shop here.

Service is priotised to pickup and not to the queued customer. Queue jumping allowed.

The acting supervisor tonight was a bit simple.

Ordered groceries on uber eats and half was missing. I'm only near by but was unpacking since I'd just moved in, but thought I'd run down and see if some bags had just been left by accident. Explained it to a guy called Leo and he was more than helpful, went around collecting everything that was missing, very apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. Faulty receipt printer or something, but genuinely more than helpful.

I’ve only been in the one time, but they had a surprisingly good vegan and free-from selection, and well as nice selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. The staff seemed quite busy stocking shelves etc when I was in, so I used the self-service, but someone was very quick to appear when I had a problem with it (that’s just me and self-service machines though). I will like pop in again when I am in the vicinity :)

Handy shop not to far away. Staff most are friendly but I'm afraid not all of the staff. On a positive note. There a young man who works there. Blonde hair what a pleasant guy always happy. Always smiles and remembers who you are. So you get a wee chat with the lad. In my opinion he should be promoted.

I suffered discrimination in this branch of the Co-op yesterday at the hand of a checkout operator who refused to make a reasonable adjustment to accommodate a disability. I only have the use of one hand owing to surgery on my left hand.I have just tried contacting the caring

Be working nearby and been using this store. And the guys serving really helpfull. But the girl working seemed to think finishing her texting was more important than me. Rude. As I said the guys really helpful
