Hull Minster, formerly known as Holy Trinity Church, is not as well known asBeverley or York Minster but is steeped in history.Located in a lovely old part of the city, it is close to Whitefriargate and Princes Quay and adjacent to the indoor market.I have visited many times and am always impressed by the warm welcome of the volunteer guides and the general atmosphere. Every time I visit I notice something new-yesterday it was the 2 small stained glass windows which are at floor level. When you visit, take your time; there’s history beneath your feet, on every surface and above in the stunning ceiling decorations.Like many churches there are memorials to the fallen; Hull Minster also has a very moving tribute to the many lost at sea from the fishing industry. At the end of your visit pop into the cafe for a drink and choice of delicious cakes, jacket potatoes etc.Hull Minster regularly hosts events so look out for information about free and paid for events.

Plentiful parking areas in the city centre. Hull Minster is a great place to visit. Architecture is impressive, and the stained glass windows are amazing. As most places of worship there is history to it, Hull Minster is no different. Hull Minster volunteers are friendly and welcoming, very informative about the city attractions too.

The most lovely and fascinating time here!I attended a tour of the clock tower and bells led by John and Don, what fantastic and lovely people they are.Worth the £6 fee and much more, I've never learned so much on a tour in the company of a beautiful, hospitable church.

Hull Minster is a Magnificent building among the old building. We walked past this building for three years and had never been inside. I saw they had an exhibition and event on Facebook; furthermore, I know it played a crucial role in WW2.Today, 14/2/23, we walked past it again then I decided to go in. They have a new cafe attached to the church it looks nice. It is free entry, but you can donate if you wish. They have a small souvenir shop at the corner where you can buy various things such as books, toys or jewellery etc.It is gorgeous architecture, nice and bright. I like the big colourful mosaic window, which shows Jesus’s story and the art of the ceilings. I’m Buddhist, but I appreciate this building. I will be back for the event if I can manage it.P.S. It locates next to the Trinity market, so you can find something to eat quickly.

This place really is a lovely venue. A classic historical building that is maintained well and utilised in a modern aspect.I have visited this place a few times now as part of the craft and flea handmade market. The volunteer staff within the minster are very helpful and friendly. The water features outside the front of the building are really lovely. Great for young kids to play in with no risk of hurting themselves

Saw the string quartet playing the music of Hans Zimmer in the Minster. Wow. Never heard anything quite like it. Acoustics are excellent and the atmosphere electric.
