This is a beautiful place in beautiful surroundings.Plenty of parking front and back.Check-in was easy and the staff friendly and attentive.We had a king room for two nights, in the new built section. The room was nicely decorated and had everything you needed. The bed was firm and spacious. The bathroom was nicely put together, with a double size shower etc. The only niggle we had was that the bathroom was always like a sauna! So much hotter than the room, and for no real reason, as the towel rail was not on.The restaurant is a light and spacious area all newly furnished by the looks of it. The menu had something for everyone and the food was to a good standard.Dog friendly.I would recommend to anyone, but will state that it seems as though us in our late 30s were definitely made to feel young.

Had an overnight stay for a works party that was being held locally. The check in had all been done the night before with a very impressive advanced guest management system.When I walked in I was greeted by the warm and friendly team member at reception and was given my room details and where to go to breakfast.My room had a lovely view and was spotlessly clean. Great to see a proper size iron and board without having to ask too.After a long day though, the absolute highlight of the stay was the amazing shower. It certainly blew the aches and pains of a long day away. I didn't want to get out!!On my return from the event, I slept well and came down for breakfast. Efficiently served and to an excellent standard.I couldn't fault my stay here, and look forward to visiting again.

We had 3 nights here recently. The room was well furnished, beautifully clean and maintained, with plenty of space. We also ate here each evening, by choiceThe food was well cooked and presented and very tasty. The staff were friendly and polite. It was a first class place for our short break.

We had my daughter's evening wedding party here. The service from first going to look at the room and all the way through was brilliant. They were so helpful, with everything. We stayed the night as did 8 other guests, the rooms are lovely, bright and everything you needed. Our daughter's dog was allowed into the function room, breakfast room, their bedroom and most of the hotel. The evening couldn't have gone any better.

August 2023Very dog friendly and excellent.Liked · Everything from the time we checked in to the check out everything was excellent. This is the doggiest friendliest place ever.A welcome pack for the dog on arrival. Special areas to walk the dog and poo and wee. They are allowed at the dinner table at all times and on the bed in the room. All the staff first spoke to the doggies first and then to us.Very good food and service. The staff in the dining room were especially good. They brought water for the dogs without being asked. Quick service without having to wait for ages for the food to arrive.A special mention of Ruby who was really caring and helpful.I asked MaryLou our doggie and she has insisted on going back there.

I had the most fantastic stay here. Food was top quality, and the staff inside the hotel were just the sweetest. The room was massive and modern with a very clean bathroom and comfy bed. We had breakfast included in our stay which was simply phenomenal. Even impressed the room had a mini fridge!Our only slight issue was the parking. Understandably out of the hotels control, it was quite busy! So we had to park on the grass next to two other cars and unfortunately got stuck due to some rain fall in the night (not the fault to the hotel at all) however a very kind man did help up out with some wood plankswhich was greatly appreciated. Sadly we did had some not very nice looks and comments, even after we profusely apologised about getting the grass a bit muddy. However! We had a fantastic stay non the less and hope to come back soon with our dog!

Best hotel we have been to in a LONG TIME! Everything was well organized and well staffed. Nothing was too much trouble. Even though I heard a few time they were fully booked, we did not feel crowded at all. Have a brand new restaurant area which is lovely, food was excellent. Loved that they are well equipped for the people with dogs as well. Do make sure that you book your dinner reservations with them as soon possible, as they get booked up quick. Walking distance to the beach and Hurst castle which is a nice little day trip.

We stayed at South Lawn as we were given a Virgin Experience Day voucher for 2 nights B&B as a wedding present.Didn’t know what to expect as we hadn’t researched it but couldn’t have been happier. We took our collie who was made to feel very welcome and we had a lovely weekend there, so much that we are returning in October on our first wedding anniversary, and my Mum has booked to go there as well with a friend.We ate in the restaurant to save driving which wasn’t planned but the food and service were excellent so would recommend it to anyone.Dogs are allowed in the restaurant too, and made extremely welcome.

We had an excellent lunch with friends at the hotel. Whilst the decor and building is a little dated the service and food was first class. Good value too. Great lunch!
