After seeing SmartChoice Driveways work in my neighbouring roads, I thought their work looked really professional, smart & tidy. I called Josh & Ben to get a quote & some excellent ideas from Josh for how my drive would look. Spot on Josh!Josh, Ben & their team worked really hard on my new drive. Josh and his team laid a Chip and Tar path at the side of my house in an area I had excavated and prepared. When I first approached Josh about the job he was happy to give me details of what was involved and after providing a competitive and detailed quote stayed in touch by text as we neared our provisional start date. The guys turned up on time and worked thoroughly and quickly, always keeping me informed about what they were doing and what would happen next, which I appreciated. I was especially concerned about ensuring that they laid the surface seamlessly with two channel drains I had installed and they did a terrific job. Overall they were very neat and tidy and despite working fast, clearly took a lot of trouble to make sure the job was done to the highest standard. I would happily recommend Smartchoice Driveways and would use them again.

We would highly recommend Smartchoice Driveways, very competitive price, great design ideas, polite, friendly and very conscientious. always cheerful despite the awful weather we were having! Turned up every morning by 7.30am and worked long days to complete the job.

If possible I prefer to use local firms to undertake work and am extremely pleased I made that decision in using Smartchoice Driveways. I needed some quite extensive driveway resurfacing work and from the outset had extremely good advice and guidance from Joshua and Ben. They provided a good competitive quote for the work. Additionally some drive widening and edging work was completed together with a new turning area and the insertion of some surface draining. Josh and his team worked extremely hard from the start. I cannot fault their attention to detail and quality of work. Josh regularly checked that I was happy with progress and and answered any questions I might have. Quality of work, value and reliability are the main things we should look for and this company provided all of that.

So pleased we went with Smartchoice Driveways for the landscaping of our back garden. From first contact with Joshua & Ben until the moment the job was complete we could not fault the whole teams attitude, quality of work and tidying up. Constantly checked we we’re pleased with every stage of the works (which we were) and kept us up to date with progress and developments. Would definitely recommend and hope to use their services again when we do the front garden soon.

We used this company to widen our existing driveway, construct sandstone walls either side, and to tarmac an area of it up to the public road.All work was carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard, and with a high regard for the safety of themselves and the road users.Particularly impressive was the enthusiasm of the team, and their willingness to incorporate our exact requirements, and to regularly provide us with feedback about their progress, and plans for the next steps.All the way through this work, the site was kept in a tidy condition, with all equipment and materials stored safely and securely at the end of each day. At the conclusion of the work, the whole site was left perfectly clean and free of any materials.We are delighted with the finished job, and have had very positive comments from neighbours and friends. Smartchoice Driveways were impressive from the start. They carried out a survey and listened to what was needed, gave good advice and produced a careful and comprehensive quotation. They were willing to revisit the site and discuss concerns and variations. When working they were polite and considerate and left the site in good clean order each day. They advised on each step of the way so that I always felt informed. They completed the job in the timeframe exactly as agreed and took steps along the way to ensure that work was produced to the highest standard. I am extremely pleased with the job and the final result. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

this is the first drive that we have upgraded and Ben, Josh and their team far surpassed our expectations. They work consistently hard and when I brought in other contractors (plumper, water bore specialist), they accommodated respectfully. The team are very tidy and treat your property as if it were their own. The standard of work is exceptional and they have a really good eye for detail and listening to our needs. We have received many compliments from passers-by and I would not hesitate in recommending them- in fact we will be asking them back to work on our garden patio!

These days it can be really hard to get any tradesman to respond to your initial phone enquiry, let alone have them show up on time, issue a competitive quote and do then a good job. Josh, together with Solly and Ben at Smartchoice Driveways did all of this and produced a driveway extension that exceeded all of our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble - when excavations showed a pipe which needed realigning rather than covering it back up, they spent extra time to correct. Both Josh and Solly worked extremely hard, and were courteous and polite, as well as being respectful of the neighbours.I would highly recommend this company’s work.
