Tesco Extra

Came in on 28th October with a blender to be returned and the woman on the Customer Service kiosk with the man was very helpful, kind, and polite. Amazing customer service for a quick return!

This Tesco is large and sells a good range of food , clothes, household and toys. I come here about 3 times a week .Scan as you pack is not open all the time due to staff shortages so queuing can be an issue most times . self service has only 3 out of about 12 self check out tills accepting cash . The parking here for disabled and mother and baby is EXTREMELY limited about 10 mother and baby spaces and not many more disabled spaces. This is the only large Tesco in Crawley and there are no where near enough priority car parking spaces . Shame

Can get busy at lunch time and weekends especially Sundays. So finding a parking space can be hard. But generally a friendly and clean store that is well stocked on items.

Long waits unless you pay as you go. Self service is not worth it and 90% card only. You should only come here if you're planning on doing a large shop, its big and takes a while to find stuff.

Depending on the time of day you shop there, you can easily find a parking space. The shop is vast, and over 2 floors, the ground floor is mainly a food hall, but they also have an opticians and one of the few supermarkets that still has a pharmacy. Upstairs which is accessed by elevators or lifts which is excellent for wheelchair friendly access, is mainly their clothing and homeware products. There is also a Costa Coffee shop right at the back where you can either eat/drink in, or grab a coffee for when you are doing your shopping.The food hall has a great selection of products and not just all Tesco ranges. They have a large fresh bakery and also a fresh fish section. I particularly like how they have closed off the alcohol area with electric glass doors, preventing access to any unsupervised children or under age looking teens into that area.The store still has a good number of supervised till, but plenty of scan as you go or basket only tills available.Behind the store is a petrol station, a large recycling point and additional parking for the store.

First, let me say this: I don't usually leave reviews for shops. Especially not large ones that don't really care about customers. Tesco doesn't have to, of course. It's large enough not to need to. But if there is one thing that really riles me, it's false advertising.This is a Tesco Extra, open till midnight and at 9.30pm I popped in for some trousers (long story), but the mezzanine, where such items are sold, was closed. Fair enough, you may say (who shops for clothes at 9.30pm anyway?!)(as i said, I would.. long story!), and I may normally be inclined to agree, but the signs, by the very blocked-off travelators up to the mezzanine, clearly said they are open 0600-2200. They're not. Just thought I'd let others know, who may be in need of trousers on a Monday night.

I encountered a wonderful young man called Emanuel at this store today. Couldn't be more helpful an ambassador of service. I leter saw him working with much gusto singing as he cleared trolleys in a freezing car park. Bravo. Inside the store was hard work with cages and stick everywhere.
