If you're considering BCB, do yourself a favour and read through the owner's responses to reviews, especially the ones which are 3 stars and under. It's never their fault, and their small team works very very hard, so it's either Royal Mail or the customer who is always wrong. Even though NONE of their competitors seem to have the same issues.I used their service for a few months because of their compostable packaging. Because they are pinching a few pennies by using second class mail instead of first class (which every other coffee subscription uses instead), my coffee never arrived any less than 7 calendar days after they said it was shipped, sometimes 15+ days. The website UX for managing subscriptions is also unintuitive and some common scenarios require contacting customer service, who may be too stretched to promptly solve your problem.All in all, great packaging, good coffee, but awful, thin-skinned management, poor website, terrible delivery (and no, it's not Royal Mail's fault as they repeatedly try to claim), and hit-or-miss customer service. Many better options available.

Top marks for presentation. My package was gift wrapped and arrived perfectly, including the bow.I've only tried the Colombian from Huila, which is beautifully light and sweet. Would suit a dripper but I've made a few espressos with it too.I'm not exactly sure what makes it Garage Coffee"

As an experiment, over a week ago, I ordered from 5 major coffee subscriptions to test them all.Unfortunately, as much as they will use Royal Mail as the excuse, this is not the case. Every other service arrived in a timely manner (no later than 48 hours.) We are well passed this now and still nothing from Blue Coffee Box.There are some things that aren't exactly open with BCB, the first email you get mentions Royal Mail delays...that just don't exist at the moment.I saw below that the rebuff was all down to Royal Mail, the truth is that BCB aren't transparent and this will eventually put them right at the bottom of the pecking order.I will be returning the package (if it ever arrives) and not ordering from BCB again.

Beware! Cancelling online doesn't actually cancel your subscription. Best to delete your card details. (Was 3-star)Reply 1 (changed to 1-star): Jon, it's sad that you feel the need to call me a liar. I felt mislead by your one-click cancel to believe that I had fully cancelled and no further shipments would be charged or sent. Nothing was actually charged or sent for a few days.So, rather than acknowledge the issue and improve your process by adding a renewal reminder you decide to make the whole process feel terrible for me. I now wish I'd never dealt with you at all.

Initially looked into coffee subscriptions as a gift for my husband, and came across this company and loved their plastic-free packaging and range of roasters they work with. Ended up renewing the gift subscription and been with them for nearly a year now.We have been able to change our subscription frequency easily and pause when needed as Blue Coffee Box has always responded quickly.Delivery only takes a few days from receiving the despatch email, and we have enjoyed exploring different coffees each time.

Been using blue box coffee for over a year now. The coffee is excellent with great variation, and usually dispatched no more than a week to 10 days after roasting. Nice to be supporting a socially responsible company. I have only contacted them once and recieved a prompt reply from Jon (the dad) who could not have done more to try and help me.

I was given a box of coffee by a friend and have fallen in love with this brand from their responsibly sourced produce to their eco-friendly packaging even down to the bio-degradable seal on the bags. The coffee is so delicious that you do not want to spoil it with sugar or milk. The customer service was superb as well even down to the explanation of light, medium and dark!

Ordered their subscription for three packs to try them out. Very long period between delivery of first and second pack and the third one never arrived....unless its still on its way months later?Cancelled subscription and went elsewhere.

Delivery is slow compared to other coffee subscription services. My order was dispatched on Monday and it is now Friday and I have just received it. It doesn't seem too long on the surface but pact coffee deliver next day for about the same price.The coffee is fantastic however and the fact that it comes in compostable packaging is very important to me. In fact it's why I wont go back to pact coffee.I recommend ordering a week before you actually need the coffee due to the aforementioned postage speed but apart from that I recommend blue coffee.

Pros: nicely presented and aesthetically pleasing box. Cons: I had to wait 2 full work days for the order to be shipped and another 2 work days to receive it which is a bit too long compared to other companies I've been buying coffee from. What's worse, the coffee had been roasted almost 2 weeks before I received it, which left me with only 2 weeks to consume it. I don't think that is acceptable considering the price they charge and I will probably not be buying from them again.
