If you need help pls don't contact these people.. They are rip off merchants. They messed me about so much. First they took £18 from me for a so called assessment. The guy (Robert) continually looks at the clock on the wall behind your chair, He doesn't actually listen to what you are saying. He missed the points I was trying to make and completely misunderstood me. 45mins and he makes you feel uncomfortable (clock watching). So you leave. I was then contacted 2/3 weeks later to be offered an appointment they new I would be unable to keep. So then they rang back and offered me a session followed by a weeks gap before they could offer me another. They make you feel like you are a nusance so in the end you just give up on them. I feel worse than I did before I contacted them. £18 to feel worse, I haven't been able to work since my problems started (18 months) . I am ashamed to say I live on state hand outs , I can ill afford this fee they charge to fill out some forms. My advice is stay away from these people they are only after your money and have hearts of STONE. You won't get any help from them all you will get is disappointment and a feeling you are a nobody nuisance.

St Barnabas is a calm and relaxing environment. The volunteers are welcoming and friendly. It's a safe space where you can access your counselling and get information about other support too. Would recommend to anyone.

Following a difficult time, I have found counselling of great benefit and feel I am better able to cope with life. I can wholeheartedly recommend St B's; my counsellor and all the staff I met there were wonderful. Never have I known such acceptance and warmth.

I volunteered as a receptionist at the Centre over the Summer break from uni and really enjoyed being in such a friendly and welcoming environment. Everyone, from counsellors to admin staff, were very kind and always eager to answer any questions I had. Am very sad to be leaving now my course has come to an end but would definitely recommend it for anyone considering volunteering on a part time basis.

Stbcc was recommended by a friend. Despite this it took me a long time to work up the courage to make an appointment to go. I am so glad I did. At that time I felt my life was unravelling and there were issues that I could not deal with. It was such a relief to talk to someone! I felt I recieved patience, understanding and compassion. I was given time to work through my stuff and slowly I began to realise that only I could change my situation. Looking back, I think that I began to feel worthy again and I think this is due to the fact that I was met with such kindness at the centre. No one seemed to judge me. I have recommended stbcc to others. It is an amazing place with amazing people.
