Stratford Social Club

Lovely place but badly designed. Bar far too close to the entrance/exit. People blocking it constantly.

We were camping in the site next to the club . There was a sign saying campers welcome on the club. So we went and had a great chat with local people and a couple of drinks. Would go again .made us feel so welcome thanks :)

We stayed at Salisbury caravan club site. The owners of the site dont do anything to promote thus place even though it is right next door but we called in 3 times during our stay and were made very welcome. Prices very reasonable.

Brilliant atmosphere. Locals very friendly. Beers good. Good location for the C&CC site.

Excellent club, really friendly right next door to the caravan site, nice and tidy great staff cheap bar, big screen football what more could you want

Entertainment is ok when its available and advertised, Poor selection of drink. Not very welcoming and grumpy bar staff.Needs lots of work with management and administration however on a positive it could have good potential.

Lovely large Hall great for booking parties. Has a small bar serving a small selection of drinks. But I think covers most people's tipple.

Run by a self elected committee, this council owned building is run to the ground by them. The club is advertised poorly, as such it’s quiet, under used and struggling. The booze is cheap for the club members, who are 80 percent friends/family of the committee.Every other service/fee/rent is sky high, in a greedy attempt to keep it all afloat and keep the drinks flowing.New members are put off joining by the lack of advertising, high fees, forms to complete and the clicky nature due to it being run by one big “happy” family. The criminal records of some of the committee is a joke, these people are not upstanding members of the community, they are bullies at best.The council needs to re elect a new committee or this club really will end up a den of drugs, alcohol abuse, intimidation and not much else.

Very disappointed with this club, wanted to book the club for a wake, It is a very stressful time when you loose a loved one, To be told by a committee member we will look after you, only to be told different a week last, full of excuses, we were not members, couldn't get cover for bar staff, The wakes not for 5 weeks, We would have thought like everyone, lockdown and money so tight, the club would welcome some extra cash , The committee needs to think on and look at some of there committee members a bit closer, Stratford club in not getting a nice name, know wonder people stay away. very sad
