Real Farm Driving

Had a fab afternoon at Kirkwood. The kids went out quad biking with Ronan and thoroughly enjoyed it. After a brief tutorial with Ronan and Anthony, away they went for a tour around the farm and along the river. I went for a lovely walk through the woods with the dog and enjoyed seeing all the native songbirds thriving. Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone looking for something a little different. Thank you so much,.

Myself and my Daughter booked her Mum for a tractor driving experience. We was greeted by Anthony and off we went to the start of the tractor experience. A quick introduction and overview of what would be happening for the 1hr experience and then my Daughter Mum was off, first of all a drive around with reversing, then onto an obstacle course manoeuvre through cones. Then a harder part was to lift a tyre from the ground with the front forks and drive it around and place it into the waiting tractor trailer. Next was to hook up the trailer and drive it through the obstacle/cones then came the really hard part to reverse the tractor back through the cones and then drop the trailer and then park up. What a fabulous time seeing the thumbs up and excitement on her face. I would highly recommend this experience driving through all the muddy field and everything else that was done. Anthony was very patient and informative. Once the tractor driving experience was finished all 3 of us made our way to the quad bikes (my 18yr daughter was a bit cautious as to what it would be like, she loved it) and what an experience, driving through the field up and down the hillside and through the muddy fields to look at the livestock, finding pigs, sheep, cows and horses. A nice ride along the river Annan too. We then went to a barn while Anthony brought out a trailer so that we could go and feed the sheep, it was fantastic. Both the tractor and quads was an amazing day and would do it again absolutely fantastic day. Thank you Real Farm Driving and a big thank you to Anthony for an amazing day

So much could be said but in summary, this was the best day of our holiday!Although we weren’t sure what to expect for a family experience it completely exceeded anything with could have imagined.It was a real fun filled learning experience, so much so my children are now wanting to be farmers when they grow up :)The hosts were so friendly and tentative.We came away with a joint of lamb reared on the farm to cook at a later date, it turned out to be the most tender flavourful lamb we’ve ever eaten.It’s a must do if you are in the area (or even if you aren’t)Big thanks to Anthony and team for helping us create some brilliant memories

We had the best experience with Anthony at Kirkwood Real farm. Our family of four myself, husband and two teens) were taken out on the Quad bikes and shown around the farm. Not only was it an exhilirating and fun experience for us all, but it was also very interesting to meet the animals and learn about the farm. Also, the scenery was stunning. Would highly recommend. We absolutely loved and enjoyed the quad biking. Anthony was very welcoming and helpful. Since it was our first time experience, he gave a lesson for sometime and took us around the field. We will definitely be back soon to experience more than quad biking .

Absolutely loved the quad biking in the farm.. got to feed sheep and see other farm animals. Instructor very friendly and explained everything very clearly so all we had to do was enjoy the experience!! Thank you very much! Highly recommended!

Fantastic tuition that really puts you at ease (with all of us on the tour never being on a quad before). Then a tour around the estate, visiting fields of lucky residents. The cows are calm with the bikes riding through to say hello and the bull was even comfortable with me being in a bright red jacket ! Then on to feed the sheep with Rascal the sheep dog showing off his talents, rounding up the sheep for their lunch. Then down to the river - wow you really need to take it slow just for the views
