Their service is absolutely disgusting and, by the range of negative reviews, they really don't care. This companies charges an extortionate price and provides a poor service to their customers. I tend to avoid negative reviews but, if you are considering ADT, just avoid them completely. Shocking

I have received a terrible service in trying to first log a call to have my alarm reset then not receiving a call from an engineer within the 5 hours that was initially indicated and then having to deal with insensitive call handlers, when chasing the engineer. This has occurred twice with 2 weeks. It took me almost an hour to get through to log the call in the first place and almost 45 minutes to get through when chasing. Absolutely terrible service when I am paying just over £50 a month to have my system monitored. I’m so angry it’s a shamble of a service. So sorry my review is negative.

ADT brought the local company that installed and monitored my shop alarm (P&J Alarms) I had nothing but problems after the swap. They put false alarms down my phone line giving me faults at 2 am in the morning. I have swapped to a new company before my contract ran out I have no problems now.

I could write you a story about our experience with ADT but I will keep it short. ADT failed to fit a contact on our home so left our home unprotected. My partner realised the contact was never fitted We were told that is down to us to check all the kit is all there and to check it is all working? They have lied to us and sent numerous demands for money even though to this day they still haven’t finished the instillation and protected our home. They’ve tried to charge us for pieces they’ve never fitted. Were trying to cancel the agreement but all we keep hearing is “you signed the agreement you have to pay”. They keep sending letter after letter. Customer service awful. We are starting to feel bullied and harassed by their whole attitude to our problem. Im tired of arguing with this company, they really don’t care about you as a customer. To all the dissatisfied customers in the past and to all the dissatisfied customers in the future - KEEP FIGHTING and don’t let them grind you down. THIS COMPANY NEEDS REPORTING!

ADT - Awful. In April this year they started charging me 17p to call the test call out which happens every day. £5 on top of my broadband for 'call charges' from April 2020-Feb 2021 which I didn't even realise was happening. Zero stars was not an option - apparently there is also a free line which doesn't charge you but I got moved onto the chargeable rate one for no reason.

WOULD BE ZERO STARS IF THIS WAS POSSIBLEHIGHLY RESTRICTIVE CONTRACTS/COMPLETE LACK OF SERVICEWe have used ADT for our alarm and security system for 10 years on our previous and current home, each time we paid upfront to 'buy/own' our own system as well as paying their monthly monitoring charge.for simple faults such as batteries needing to be replaced, asking their permission to turn off the tamper alarm to change this or avoid alarm sounding when doing home improvements they really fail to support the practicalities of life and permitting you to do simple tasks on your own system which you bought and own, even after cancelling your contract for monitoring they refuse to provide the engineers code to be able to do these functions which is absolutely crazy and I fail to understand how this would fit into a trading standards case personally.They have admitted that in Northants/midlands area they cant handle the service book they hold so buyer beware that you may fall foul of the issues we have faced.In a nutshell, they are overpriced, they overpromise, underdeliver and operate to manufacture income for themselves as opposed to offering a service to their clients.Suffice to say we have chosen to cancel and wont recommend anyone to a firm such as this

They have extremely dishonest sales people working for them. My account was closed once I made them aware of what their employee had done and then the same guy started messaging me trying to do it again. He shouldn’t still be working there after he committed fraud so I have reported it to the ombudsman.

I've been with ADT for around 20 years. They used to be brilliant, but now their service is a disgrace; I've been waiting now almost 2 months to get an alarm fixed and if that wasn't bad enough, it's cost me over £50 in call charges so far calling and holding on their customer service line as it's a premium rate number which it typically seems to take them 20-30 minutes to answer.

DO NOT IGNORE, PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ADT!Like everyone else posting here, I ignored all of the negative reviews, much to my dismay. I have worked with many incompetent companies over the years but ADT really do take the prize for the most useless and unhelpful scam artists going. The level of stupidity is astounding, it should be illegal.Had my security system installed December 2021. By Jan 2022, part of the system was malfunctioning. I have been waiting for this to be resolved for 10 months, with in excess of 8 appointments and not a single engineer showing up or even having the common decency to call and tell us they can't make the appointment. The workers on the helpline are completely unhelpful, full of apologies but never actually doing a thing.Countless days holiday/ unpaid leave used for nothing. The only thing those scam artists will understand is a notification that they are being taken to court.I urge you all who have had a terrible experience like me, take it up with the courts and trading standards. This company needs to be brought to its knees. Everyone post your negative reviews everywhere possible, not just here, and warn the entire country to steer clear of this ridiculously poor excuse for a company there ever was.
