Travelodge Bristol Central Mitchell Lane

Poor service at this hotel, especially for the price.No housekeeping services for our weekend stay, and loud construction work as early as 7am on a Saturday morning. Frustratingly, no luggage storage option available even though the reception is open until 7pm. Our train wasn’t until 5pm and it’s a basic expectation to be able to leave a backpack in the lobby. Even hostels offer better service than this, it was a major inconvenience for us.

Stayed for two nights in a superior family room. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The check in was fast and the reception staff were very friendly. The hotel is located very well for central Bristol, about a 10 minute walk to the harbour side and about 20 to 25 minutes walk to the university. There is a small car park for the hotel at £9 for 24 hours. The only downside is the noise from the building site next door which is beyond the hotel's control. If the weather is hot and you want to open for some breeze, the noise is extremely loud.

Aleka. What can I say!! Smiles from start to finish. An attitude to match the character!!! She's a complete star and an asset to this place. I'll be back in January for sure and I'm hoping to meet this lovely lady again she's made our stay amazing!!! Customer service is amazing

Been here a few times. The staff are nice when they eventually get to the desk. Rooms could be a bit cleaner especially for the price. The atmosphere is nice, I did like that you don’t have to walk past reception to get to your room as allows more privacy.The biggest downfall though is the lack of air conditioning. Obviously the windows don’t open very much but that’s your only source of breeze, which is ruined by the construction work going on outside.Pretty standard hotel, could be cheaper but I get it for the location.

Thank god for the breakfast! Staff were so accommodating and friendly. And the food was great.However, the rooms were so loud, I slept with ear plugs in both nights and I could still hear constantly slamming of doors and people charging around. Our window was closed but letting in such a draught that the curtains moved with the breeze.Parking is a nightmare, shouldn’t even say there are spaces to park as you’d have to be very lucky to nab one.Hallway stunk of weed too.Truly terrible :-)

I don't normally like travel lodges as some are to be desired, so I wasn't looking forward to my stay. How'ver the reception was nice and clean, staff helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean, duvet was warm enough that on a cold night it kept me nice and cosy. Breakfast was OK, albeit some of our was cold, but food was cooked to how I like my bacon, mushrooms etc, However as I said some of the breakfast was luke warm, the orange juice was squash and was really weak it tasted like water, so I dread to think of how it will be for those coming later, this was a 8.30 so not late.if the breakfast had been hotter it would have been 5 stars. That's the only negative thing I could say about this hotel. The rest was great, local to work, local to the train station. So all in all I had a good stay.

Great place, easy check in/out. The food was nice, with a late closing bar and great staff members. Room and bed were cosy and comfy, everything you need.

Exactly what you always get with Travelodge.Rooms are basic but always comfy and spotlessly clean room. Staff always polite and helpful. First time we've had breakfast at Travelodge but again above expectation.

Only booked for the one night as we were at a gig. I did however book one of their super rooms for a little bit more 'luxury '. It certainly did not feel that way.The furniture was heavily stained, the floor looks like someone too a poo on it and there was even a stain on the little bed thing the housekeepers would of put on?!?! The hallways also smelt of stale water and there was a bucket of smelly water close to our room that was there for the entire time we were. Also, 2 odd mugs? Pay for a coffee machine but still rubbish milk. The shower wasn't great and the shower curtain was even worse!However, the staff were lovely. The location was perfect for us and the parking was cheaper.Certainly will never pay for a superior room again!

I stayed here for 5 nights with my friend, visiting Bristol and attending a gig at The Fleece.The staff were amazing and the breakfasts delicious and hot.Room was clean and freshEvening manager (Nick) was very helpful and friendlyTop notch .. happily recommend
