Mitsuru Karate

A fantastic club to join, the instructors are very friendly and supportive, my child has gained so much confidence since joining and loves attending classes. I feel she has really come into her own in all areas of her life through attending karate. I feel its not just a club but it has becomes a way of life where everyone becomes like family, and even as the parents I feel we have made fantastic friendship also by meeting other team members. Each class is a time to learn new things each technique is an achievement which keeps coming with every belt, every competition it has truly helped shape my daughter into the beautiful, kind, confidence young adult she is today I would recommend these classes to everyone so much so I'm even debating on trying out a class myself.

An outstanding club with excellent coaches, I have two sons at the club, and they love both the regular training and the competitions where they get the opportunity to compete both nationally and internationally. All the students are coached and encouraged to be the best they can be in a fun and safe atmosphere. It’s a life skill that will benefit my kids in health, confidence, control and discipline throughout their lives. The club has also produced a number of elite athletes in both the England national and regional karate squads.

Myself and kids are part of this club, it's well run very disciplined and the instructors are very knowledgeable. Mark Holding is also a Northern regional instructor and knows his stuff. Kids love it and is a great way to stay active, I highly recommend.

Amazing club with amazing instructors. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Mark is so much more than a karate instructor. He's a fantastic teacher and role model too. My son absolutely adores his lessons and Mark. I'm looking forward to seeing my son grow in his abilities and confidence.

Our son really enjoys attending classes, the other children are great and the teachers are warm, fair and engaging. The inter club competitions are well run and enthralling! The quality of the teaching is obvious from the support and encouragement the older students give the younger ones. It makes my heart swell! Our daughter is looking forward to when she’s old enough to join.

Absolutely fantastic club! We haven't been attending long and already feel apart of the karate family. Mark is very welcoming and engaging, my little boy who often hated being in big social situations, and would withdraw is totally at ease in marks classes. His confidence has come on leaps and bounds since attending, he loves marks funny jokes but equally respects him and looks up to him, a fantastic role model. He is always excited for his karate nights. Can't wait to see where his karate journey takes him.

My son has being attending this club for 9 years what started as a confidence boost has become a passion and hobby. Great club very friendly kids of all ages mixing which helps so much when they go to secondary school as they all look out for one another, like being part of a big family. Would highly recommend.

My two youngest boys have been training with mark for 9 and 5 year’s respectively. They have learnt discipline , their fitness has improved and their confidence has grown but most of all they have gained many ,many friends ( as have I). Both boys have travelled abroad to compete in competitions and I m loving the memories that they are making. My boys have not only gained a sensei, we as a family have also gained a friend.

Mark is a great teacher and a role model to the kids. We join only a few months back but my little one loves it so much, she wants to stay after her class to watch the older kids so she can be as good as them. Mark also adds a bit of fun if he sees the little ones are struggling a bit. Highly recommended!

My son has been going to Mitsuru Karate for around 3 years. He’s come on leaps and bounds with his confidence, self esteem and fitness. If anyone if thinking of getting into karate I’d 100% recommend Mark, his expertise is amazing and he’s a great teacher ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
