Snowcoach

Looking at other reviews of Snowcoach, I would honestly have been put off if I wasn't a previous customer. We decided to chance it anyway and have not been disappointed. Clearly Snowcoach (and the travel industry in general) has had a very tough few years and their service levels dropped, but this year has been as good as we remember so they've definitely picked it back up again.Be aware before you book, this is a completely no frills skiing holiday in a very basic hotel, don't expect any luxury. This is of course reflected in their attractive pricing. For what you get the price is extremely good. Included in our total package was:1. Transport by coach from London, this was pretty comfortable as coaches go and we slept well. I'd definitely recommend going for the P&O club lounge on the way out as you get a full hot meal, all you can drink (incl beer/wine/champagne/spirits), and plenty of snacks. If you're like me the free alcohol definitely helps get to sleep on the coach! Get Snowcoach to book this for you as they get special rates not available to the general public. Biggest criticism of the coach journey is the annoying film they put on pretty late in the evening. Everyone has their own devices nowadays so please stop this infuriating practice so we can watch our own stuff or fall asleep in peace.2. Hotel room for 5 nights. The rooms are small and could probably do with a refurbishment. However the beds are reasonably comfy and there's plenty of space to put your ski gear. Additional heaters are provided in the rooms so you won't be cold.3. 2 hot meals a day. Breakfast is a small hot buffet with some french pastries, cereal, toast etc. Dinner is a 4 course meal served in a dinner party" style. You're at a large table with other guests and a member of staff is on the table to serve you. The food is basic but generally tasty

The friendliness fun filled ski trip adventure abound. From UK set off, if coaching with their provider, they'll get you to the mountains in comfort ready for your first slopes day. Great in-house ski service to get you out ready with the minimum of inconvenience. Afternoon tea and cake and hot tub before the evening meal and fun atmospheric evening in the lounge with bar and open fire. If that's not enough fun for your day, the staff are always welcoming for you to join them at some drinking establishments to show you the best night time fun.Clean bright airy warm comfortable accommodation. Super friendly English staff. Lovely quaint town, great ski area and lifts.I return year on year. Always sad to leave, but on the last day you can guarantee a busy day so no time to dwell on the holiday ending, you just ski to the day end, quick change, a nice bite to eat and you're away off back to Blighty on the coach and rest and reflection of a fantastic adventure.

Stayed at Val Meinier for a week. Hotel is well situated just a few short steps from the slopes. Very comfortable hotel , staff were very accommodating, attentive , professional and always available for any assistance. Food was very good and plentiful . I had the pick-up and drop off at Geneva , all worked well and a reasonable price. The hot tub and sauna were well used by other guests ( I didn’t bring my trunks ! ) .I travelled on my own , but the friendly accommodating nature of the staff and other guests ensured this was not a problem . I have no hesitation in recommending Val Meinier as a great place for a weeks skiing. I will be returning next season .

I was offered less than 1/3 of the average wage in France as Head Chef, working out at less than minimum wage. They are most definitely predators! Beware.

Best way to get to the Alps without flying! Have used them for 2 family holidays and have always been v happy with the service they offer. Nice accommodation, food is good and staff have always been very amenable.

It was good to visit StGervais after 2 year break due to pandemic. Just as nice now as it was before. Also nice to meet up with usual ski company.

Highly recommend Snowcoach! The quote and booking process was simple and email queries were answered quickly and efficiently putting our minds at ease and adding hire etc to booking when we were ready. Coach arrived on time and drivers were very friendly. Hotel staff were all amazing and really made the holiday. The food was great and dinner time was a really enjoyable part of the day. Entertainment put on by hotel staff was also a great way getting to know other guests, such as bowling, quiz and games night. Thank you Snowcoach, will definitely be booking again!
