The Edinburgh Coach & Truck Park

Obviously the ground could use some investment but although very simple, this is one of the best truck stops I have used. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Showers are powerful and hot, toilets are clean. Walking distance over a footbridge to the town were you will find a couple of friendly pubs, Chippy, curry house and kebab house. Various menus are available if you would rather have food delivered to your truck. The free tea and coffee and sandwich making ingredients are a massive winner for me, to be able to sit away from your truck and have a coffee and piece of toast in the morning is priceless.

Every member of the staff and especially the owner were incredibly nice, and very welcoming. They even gave us some recommendation for what we should visit in Edinburgh, a map and the way to the nearest busstop. The park had some smaller potholes but the parking spaces were even and solid. There are showers and toilets that were very clean. Also there were power outlets for caravans, freshwater and a drain to remove graywater. Also it was very quiet and the price was very good. Overall a very good choice.

Stayed there one night with our camper van. Toilet, showers, electric hookup, also a room with a kitchen bit. Security on site.All staff very friendly and helpful. Site itself is a stone throw away from Portobello and the beach

Good safe truck stop friendly staff welcome you and control access. Plenty of space to park. Good showers and toliets accessible through out the night and earlys hours. Short walk from the town, beach ,chip shops and other restaurants and the 26 bus (opposite the chip shop) into Edinburgh runs regularly and into the night.

Has everything you need, all the facilities were accessible and very functional. It felt nice and secure and was very easy to get into the city. It was a great place to stay in my van for some fringe fun. The owner is a lovely chap. Will be back there next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Great little fine. The guys who run it are lovely, friendly and helpful. The TV room and kitchen are well stocked and clean, as are the showers. And the high st and beach are just a short stroll away. I hope to be back soon.Cate x

Like parking on the moon with all the craters you have to negotiate but it's actually pretty decent! Facilities are clean and well maintained, staff are pleasant and friendly, drivers lounge is basic but sufficient! Would I go back...absolutely...and it's on SNAP so all good!

A good stop over for showers, emptying and refilling. Really friendly staff.Apparently the female showers weren’t as well designed as the male.Also it would be better if the black water emptying had its own emptying drain outside and not using the indoor standard toilet.It was still all quite clean though.Highly recommend walking to the beach and town nearby. Kids loved the sand.

This parking in perfect, it's very quiet and very well positioned. From the parking to the Portobello Beach( very beautiful beach) you make only 5 minutes on foot.If you want to go to the old town ( which it's just incredible and you can visit the scootlanlds national art museum for free) the bus station in only 800 metres away and the bus 26 will take you directly to the old town.The personnel is super super kind and are there always to help you. There is a driver's room where is free coffe,tea,sandwiches,biscuits,milk and cereal and everything you need for free and also a TV with a table and 4 chairs.The bathroom is very clean with very clean showers that have very hot water for unlimited time.I stayed for 3 days here and it was amazing, 100% would recommend and hopefully come again.Thanks jhon ( i think ) for everything :)
