Ailsa Gem, Turnberry

Posting on behalf of my parents who stayed in April 2023. Lovely holiday, enjoyed by us all. Beds were very comfortable, all rooms very well appointed and had everything we needed. Enjoyed a look around the Turnberry Trump Hotel and lovely trips up and down the coast. Visited Aran and were very lucky to see wildlife, especially the red squirrels.

Ailsa Gem is certainly well named! From the moment we opened the front door and saw the lovely well thought out decor we knew it was going to be a lovely place to stay.The hosts have considered exactly what people need to have to hand on holiday to help make it relaxing for everyone.There is a well equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine and enough wine glasses for all occasions! There are two comfortable bathrooms to enjoy a hot shower or bath after a stroll along Turnberry beach, and there are lovely little touches like deck chairs available for use on the beach in the Summer.We all had the best nights sleep in the very comfortable beds. So much so I am investigating purchasing the same bed for my own house!The flat is so peaceful and not overlooked you could easily spend hours chilling out reading, watching TV (lots of channels to please everyone) or playing board games which are also available. There are also lovely places to visit in the area which makes it a great holiday base.So it certainly is a gem of a flat and we are all desperate to get our next visit booked in!
