Had a fitting for girls school shoes, young lad measured her feet, she picked her shoes. We got home all seemed OK. Walked to school first day back, what a joke, shoes were too big. Put in insoles, not that it did much good until I could get to the Newmarket shop.Newmarket store measured her feet, wow the Bury st Edmunds store had measured her a whole shoe size bigger than she was. Come on Bury, Clarkes don't employ kids that can't be bothered.A big thank you to the staff who sorted her a new pair.

Lovely experience when shopping for shoes at Clarks in Bury st Edmunds. My granddaughter needed new shoes and me were met with happy staff. The manager, Daniel served us and had great knowledge of the shoes and fittings of different styles. We were not rush and the staff all said hello when passing us. We came away with three pairs of shoes and all set up for summer. Keep doing what you doing, as we had one little toddler smiling and enjoying her shoe buying experience!!

Says on the website you can exchange shoes as long you have receipt or proof of payment through your bank, asked if I can exchange my daughters shoes as they miss measured and gave a size too big, and had proof of payment but this store refused

My husband and I went into Clarks Bury St Edmunds to get him some new smart works shoes, the shop wasn't busy with 5 members of staff just chatting behind the till. We looked at the shoes for about 15 mins and still no-one came over and they were still just chatting- when finally approached about 20 mins after entering the shop we asked for some sizes to try. A young lad then came back and basically threw them at the ground and said there you go and walked off. The customer service was absolutely awful. Won't be returning to this one and will go back to our usual in felixstowe where service is always incredible. A simple hello and smile goes along way and considering its a customer facing role you might want to do some training with staff.

Cannot believe it Clarks in Bury is a shambles took our daughter in, a young boy measured her feet at the door. A young girl got her shoes inexperienced not what you expect. Measured at a size too small first week of school blisters on her feet. Go to haverhill Clarks measure a whole size bigger and rectified but had to pay the extra for the shoes as did not have size.

We came to the Bury store after having a terrible experience in a different location. We went in to get our daughters first shoes. We were looked after by Molly and she was incredible! A true asset to your team of staff! She knew exactly what she was talking about and nothing was too much. Completely restored our faith in Clarks - Thank you Molly, an experience we won’t forget!

Friendly staff, but ……I asked if it was possible to order a pair of shoes in my size that they didn’t have in store, I explained I needed them the next day as I’m flying off on holiday….. I was told yes but I had to pay extra for it …. No problem and the order was made ,I received a mail confirming order and then noticed the delivery date is 2 days after I depart on holiday …… a total shambles

We went in for children’s ankle boots and the young shop assistant who helped my daughter was very good. She actually engaged and talked directly to her instead of just talking over her head at the « grown ups ». She really made sure my daughter was comfortable in her choice and had the right model for her feet. Thank you.

Don’t usually leave reviews but was really impressed when we came in last week. My little boy is quite wriggly but Lauren measured his feet and was so lovely, he can be quite shy but kept telling me about ‘his friend’ at the shoe shop all day! Way better than Clarks in Norwich

Dashed in for school shoes … needed adult smart ones for my 11 year old son starting upper school .Liv served us and was so friendly and helpful . Totally understood my sons needs and made him feel at ease . Unfortunately only one style of shoe left ( which were hideous ) we had a giggle , but shame that no other shoes could be ordered as out of stock nationwide ??!! Surely better stock management for back to school ?
