Food portions small. No heating we all set with coats on. The chairs look like they have never been cleaned full of stains. This place was good and we used it often but this has put us off.

The food has been consistently excellent here for my last few visits. It is cooked very nicely, full of flavour and generous in the portion sizes (not too much so, you're not over-faced).The speed of service is good and the staff are always very friendly. There is also a good atmosphere about the place with the background music playing and the light, airy open space.

We are always impressed with the quality of food and service here. It would be good to have some sessional ale on the menu, but it doesn't affect the score.I am happy to recommend it for parents with young children as they are very attentive to their needs and the quality of food for them is great.

I came here this afternoon with my dad and stepmum for a catch up and we had such a lovely experience. Our server (I think Connie?) was absolutely fantastic!Very enthusiastic and attentive but not too overbearing. I work in the management team in a restaurant so understand the importance of good service and that is definitely what we received. The food was great. All of us ordered from the three course set menu and every bowl/plate was left empty by the end. I had the meatballs which was a very good size considering it’s a starter. This was followed by the carbonara which was delicious and the added chicken made it even better. The cookie dough dessert also went down a treat. Overall, it was a great experience and the restaurant itself looked very welcoming and cozy.

It's been a long time since I've visited any Bella Italia after having some not great experiences at both this restaurant and another in York. But this visit was spot on. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Food was great. Opted for the set menu, and the festive pizza (which I have to say was interesting" with the cranberry sauce and camembert topping

They have a takeaway too called mac shack and I'll never eat here again disgusting.rang 4 times nobody answers the phone over a hour late so that's 2hrs from ordering it, very small portions and stone cold

Loved it and the staff are fantastic! Food amazing too! It was my little boys birthday and they were great with the kids. Getting colouring and making them feel special.

Connie was so lovely with my 2 little boys and really went the extra mile to make my child's birthday special. Food was great. Have been several times now and not had a bad experience x
